PÄR LINDH PROJECT released this year a new studio album, after a lengthy silence.
So it's time to look back and the discography and name your favourite release, favourite song, anecdotes, etc you have on the band and Pär Lindh's music. In my case, my favourite album, as a whole would be Mundus Incompertus but the title song from his latest album, Time Mirror is stellar in my mind (though I'm not crazy about the vocals). Veni Vidi Vici is one of those rare things - a modern symphonic prog album that is not in the slightest bit derivative of Yes,ELP or Genesis.
The live albums are superb and Live In Poland is also available as a DVD (recommended)
Par Lindh is a massive ELP fan. He played the organ as ELP's 25th Anniversary Convention held at Birmingham (UK) doing his own arrangements of Pirates and other ELP tracks. I bought Gothic Impressions and it was the first time I became aware of a 'prog revival'. Gothic Impressions has some beautifull sleevenotes and artwork to go with it was well. Par Lindh Project at that time was not a fully functioning band but an array of some of the finest musicians from Sweden and Norway:
Par Lindh - synthesizers, harpsichord, Church organ,
- Grand piano; bass; drums & percussion Bjorn Johansson - classical guitar; bassoon & whistle Mathias Jonsson - vocals With: Divad - vocals Mattias Olsson - drums Stefan Bergman - drums Johan Hogberg - bass guitar Jonas Engdegard - electric guitar Jocke Ramsell - electric guitar Roine Stolt - acoustic guitar Hakan Ljung - lute Anna Holmgren - flute Lovisa Stenberg - harp Magdalena Hagberg - vocalize |

Enjoyed very much the most recent album; the title track is really good and also enjoy the male vocals, which I think are more suitable to PLP´s music. |

You've opened polls about my fave bands today, Avestin Here also, love all of the bands output. If I were to pick a favourite, I'd still have much of a hard time deciding between Gothic Impressions and Mundus Incompertus... They are just flawless. |

More a supergroup (Anglagard +Flower Kings+Par Lindh Project), still the best release under the PLP name.
All of the rest are also amazing. Iván |
