One of those rare occasions when I can choose the 'both' option.

the best of Oldfield is better than the best of Wilson for me
but Wilson is much more consistent
Oldfield does have some true crap
I ended up voting for both

Same with me. I was a bit disappointed with Grace for Drowning due to its high praise, I guess I just don't see it.

I would take Wilson's two solo albums over anything Oldfield has done.Oldfield has put out a lot of crap in his career but i still listen to Hergest Ridge,Ommadawn and Tubular Bells, but only those.
So Wilson wins easily for me. |

Oldfield has a body of self titled albums, Wilson only has two so far.

Oldfield vs Wilson?!? Really??? Are the Prog fans changed so much in these last 35 years to compare a piece of history with just an intelligent pop artist? ....and when we will see a pool K Bush vs Lady Gaga, or Peter Gabriel vs Michael Jackson??? Tubular Bells was realized in 1973, and it was a very original masterpiece, the most of the PT music sound like a just pleasant cocktail of Beatles and Pink Floyd with a dash of King Crimson...but not at the same level of any of them.

Big fan of Mr Wilson - in most of his various forms. Thought his Grace album one of the very best of 2011.
But life without Hergest Ridge, Ommadawn, Incantations and Amorak just doesn't bear thinking about.
Another vote for Mr Oldfield.
