The same album, duplicated in three different places:

https://www.progarchives.com/album.asp?id=18209

https://www.progarchives.com/album.asp?id=57292

https://www.progarchives.com/album.asp?id=2663

Honestly, I'm not sure which of them to keep, but it should be reduced to one entry only.

^ My bad for contributing to the mess.
IMO we could  keep Goblin (2 reviews) and Keith Emerson entries (both properly cross-referenced) and delete only VVAA (0 reviews).
My reasoning: any completionist will sooner or later (as I did) want to fill the artist discog with every possible record he can find -  deleting the entry now will only open the door for a future new addition

Your opinion, guys ?

^ We shouldn't keep 2 entries of the same album.

Bacause this and this ones have 0 reviews they must die. The remaining Goblin album has to be moved to V/A, references to the album on Goblin and Emerson pages would be helpful.

^ That particular album, currently listed here under Goblin, with the two reviews (LP version, Cinevox label, 1989, listed as a Various Artists album, with no track timings) can be found on Discogs at https://www.discogs.com/Various-La-Chiesa/release/2036653.

The CD version of it (Jimco Records, licensed from Cinevox, 1992, same track list and artwork - including track timings - but credited to Keith Emerson) is at https://www.discogs.com/Keith-Emerson-La-Chiesa/release/6148730.

The second link (CD version) can be used to complete the entry for the LP version of the album, currently filed here under Goblin, when it is moved to V/A.

All the other versions (there are six in total) can be found on Discogs too - listed on both the pages I've linked to above. As well as providing references to the album on Goblin and Emerson pages after it has been moved, it might be worth listing the other five versions in the 'Releases informations' section of the album to finish the job off thoroughly.

http://www.progarchives.com/album.asp?id=42375 (Michelle Young ‎- Song Of The Siren): Shown as a 1998 release, when it was actually released in 1996. More info about the musicians involved can be found on discogs page for the 2002 re-mastered re-release of the album (a page which also confirms the date of the original album as 1996): https://www.discogs.com/Michelle-Young-Song-Of-The-Siren/release/5238134.

The album was reviewed by Musical Discoveries in 1998, which is probably where the confusion has arisen: http://www.michelleyoung.com/biography.html.

^ Thanks, done.

It still not clear when it was reissued - in 2002 according to Discogs or in 2003 as Amazon insists.
Amazon page also tells that 1996 edition contained bonus track omitted on remastered version:
"This album is the re-mastered version of the original 1996 debut release by Michelle Young. It contains new artwork, and the bonus track has been omitted".

But according to this page reissue contains 58-second track 11  Confused
11Mary Mary Quite Contrary

My copy of the album is the re-mastered version by Karl Groom at Thin Ice Studios, Surrey, England, 2002 - and this certainly doesn't contain the bonus track. However, this track definitely existed on the original album, as the Biography page for Michelle at http://www.michelleyoung.com/biography.html will confirm. Scrolling down to the description of the "Song Of The Siren" album you will find:
"The overall sound of the album is hard to classify. There are ten average length tracks that meld from one into another and an eleventh very short bonus track. A good friend once said that he'd listen to Annie Haslam singing even if she did nursery rhymes. Michelle Young does just that singing "Mary Mary Quite Contrary" in multi-tracked a cappella in the bonus track. And it works!"

Further confirmation of the re-mastered re-release in 2002 by Karl Groom can be found at http://www.prog-rock.info/html/u_-_z.html (you'll need to scroll down, or do Ctrl_F in Chrome browser to find the entry), where it says:

Young, Michelle - Songs Of The Siren
Guest criticism of Siggi Greck:
"Now I finally hold it in my hands. The debut album by Michelle Young from the year 1996. It is a version re-mastered by Karl Groom in 2002. As mentioned by Roland in his criticism of the successor "Marked For Madness", the voice is very similar to that of Kate Bush. So, who likes Kate Bush, Michelle Young will love. "Song Of The Siren" is quite well done, even though I think it does not get to "Marked For Madness". If you are curious, you should download the best song "Solitude" at
www.michelleyoung.com."

It appears that this version of the album was later re-pressed in 2003 (hence Amazon's claim) - this is Musical Discoveries announcement of the event: http://www.musicaldiscoveries.com/archives/00000109.htm.

"Michelle Young "Song Of The Siren" To Be Re-pressed!
We are very pleased to announce that featured artist Michelle Young (reviews) is scheduling a re-issue of her stunning debut album Song Of The Siren. Visitors that enjoy the voice of Kate Bush are certain to be delighted with Michelle's recordings.
(13 March 2003)"

So, hopefully that clears up all the confusing bits!

Edit: Sorry to be a pain in the ass, but the bio gives the date of the debut album as 1998 instead of 1996 as well. Just needs a quick 'tweak' to fix it though!

Is a duplication and it's a studio album not an EP as Jason himself posted it on progarchives  http://www.progarchives.com/album.asp?id=57358

^ Could you please explain why FB is the "correct" when they already have an official website ?
(which is precisely linked to on the FB page)

No change needed IMO

Taken care, thanks !

(the addition being signed jrubenstein proves nothing to me - I sign Quinino and in real life I am actually The Allmighty Lord Of Darkness And Evil)

I guess it's because the official website hasn't been updated in about 10 years now, with only three of the band members from that time still remaining according to the facebook page. Difficult one indeed when a band carries out all its current interaction with the World via facebook, while there still also exists a totally out of date website. There isn't even a link to their facebook page on the official website as far as I can see...I guess they hadn't even joined facebook back in 2008, since it was still mainly a site for young students and the like to keep in touch with each other back in those days.
