I don't think so, because the credits read: "Re-recording of 9 Focus classic tracks with the new line-up"

Thanks, but I doubt, on the band's site it's written as "Nakid"

But on the cover itself it's Na•Kid but I understand that many bands are drunk, stoned or drugged when they write something and are not a bunch of "Einstein's" either, I just look at the finish product, it's not a "Life or Death" situation

I don't think so, because the credits read: "Re-recording of 9 Focus classic tracks with the new line-up"

So we can debate that and you'll do whatever you want, but many bands have new lineups and play the back catalog with the new band members, when you take 9 songs from previous albums, that to me is the definition of compilation! argument #2: the band just relisted a new album called "11" and on progarchives.com we have 14? the truth is that the band themselves didn't count "Golden Oldies" & "Jan & Thies: Focus" from 1985 as studio Focus albums! then you'll say, but even if I don't count those two there will be 12, and you'll be right but, the 2016 album is called 8.5, and since 2002 we have 8,9,X,8.5,11, just saying

^ I see you point, Mayer.
If we would have a category, something like "Studio albums, but not major releases", "Golden Oldies" would be there. But no such category on PA.

But anyway re-recordings are not compilations. Only for the lack of a better category "Golden Oldies" stays in Studio albums.

I think fans of the band may sort this out.

^ Thanks, moved to Compilations.
From the band's website:
"The Digipak CD is a collection of remixed, reworked, live versions, unreleased new tracks and a couple of covers."
