from the site Ground and Sky review of album
According to the liner notes, the band's bassist, Jim Crichton, came up with a story concept in 1978, before Saga had recorded their first album. The story involves an alien race who are concerned about the Earth's growing destructive power. They come here looking for an Earthling who is smart enough to prevent us from unleashing that destruction. Finding no living person who can meet their needs, they come across the preserved brain of Albert Einstein, and build a new body to put it in. After that, the story gets a bit hazy — there seems to be a war (although I can't tell whether it was started by the aliens or by humans), civilization is wiped out but starts to rebuild itself, Einstein is involved somehow... the lyrics are open to interpretation to say the least. as you see as wild as any prog concept, i really like the opener though Images very classical influenced and nice piano work |

I have this album and reviewed it with 4 stars but don't know what you hope to accomplish with this poll. The whole concept and realization of it with this live album was quite a feat. They finally brought it all together in a live show and you want to rip it apart by rating the songs separately? Seems an odd choice for a poll.

i have seen odder polls so why not
, also songs are songs and since they are seperate songs they can be judged alone as muchas any song on the Lamb can be judge alone, |

It seems not too many people really care about this topic
It puzzles me the level of general dislike or apathy towards Saga on this site. I consider them possibly the leaders in the Neo-Prog genre as their first album came out in 78.

I like Saga quite a bit. As a matter of fact I am in the process of listening to all of their albums again. Not sure that I can make a choice from the poll however. Probably Don't Be Late or Will It Be You, but I will have to listen to the Chapters album to make an actual vote. These are the only two songs that I recognize by title.

I like the idea of bringing a concept of songs spread over a lot of studio outings. I think it's a fine accomplishment to finish it after all those years. To bring it live and to record it, is the final stage. And we are lucky to have it. I prefer the first CD though.
And I love No Regrets the most. Such a beautiful song and passionately sung by Jim Gilmour.
The drawings in the booklet are a nice accompaniment.

Saga is one of my favourite bands (all rock genres melted). The musicianship is really astonishing. They are praised in AOR circles, similarly to TOTO. Their frontman, Michael Sadler, also recorded an excellent album, sort of AORish neo-prog, 'clear', with the seriously underrated drummer, Chris Frazier (who played on Steve Vai's masterpiece, 'Passion and warfare').
I cannot vote as all these songs are all incredible.
