Correct. Anyone who wants to join this site for positive reasons (ie to vote for their favourite prog band) is welcome.

Every post I saw went something along the lines of: ''Spock's Beard best band 4life, TMV sux'. I hardly think that's any better than people revenge voting.
I thought most posts went "I will kill myself if TMV don't win this poll." and "I can't believe Spock's Beard have lasted this long since I have voted against them in every round including the one where they went up against the cast from Glee and the contestants from American Idol".

If you put that poll *someone* would vote against SB. If you replaced them with TMV someone would vote against them. People are silly.

You are wrong on this occasion. Be man enough to admit it.

I'll toss a vote to the underdog.

Dammit, just listened to V and In Absentia one after the other and I have swung to Spock's Beard after a lot of thought.

.......and there you have it in a nutshell Wink

The hype for Porcupine Tree on ths forum far outweighs their actual talent. It's like the hype for Coldplay in the mainstream world.

I do actually really like both bands but having seen both of them 5 or 6 times, Spock's Beard (with Neal Morse) were the better live band.

So, it's The Beard for me.

Unfortunately there has been no SB Forum Post.

I think this is why they are losing.

Spock's Beard is better than the walloping they are taking here IMO. Porcupine Tree is a tad overrated by this forum IMO. It'll be interesting to see what happens if Marillion goes up against them. Two rabid fan bases square off

I like them about the same.  No vote.

However, most people here think In Absentia is prog.  So there you are.
