Make sure you use the Google Music Manager to download your music.  Otherwise, you only get two downloads from the web that you may need to save for a rainy day.  According to their support representative, you get unlimited downloads with the music manager.  Everything I received from them is 320kbps CBR.

I also bought Light Of Day, Day Of Darkness by Green Carnation for $1.

They've released a new live album from their Super Bowl show on February 4th.  http://blog.umphreys.com/cs/blogs/thefloor/archive/2012/02/08/free-download-of-our-super-bowl-village-show.aspx

If we already mentioned umphrey's McGee , I have noticed the very low rating regarding their new studio album on PA , I personally think it's a great album , what do you guys think?

I like it. All the songs are good. I knew half the album already from live shows, but a few of them were new material, and they're awesome. Miami Virtue is one of their best songs in a long time, and live it's unbelievable.

I generally listen to their live stuff anyway, but the album is good as an album, and has good flow. Not as proggy as Mantis, but there were interesting things on Death By Stereo, and the songs translate live very well, a bit more than Mantis did.

The first time i heard 'miami virtue' i thought "ok this band is finished" with that kind of poppy synth line, but it grew on me like the rest of the album , i really don't consider it a step back in any way.
my favourite is 'search 4' with that great line riff and that calm part that evolves to the rocky solo , awsome beautiful stuff.
they should be known much more on PA , there are to many dream theater fans here , as great as they are.

I love listening to Umphrey's covers and there are some interesting ones in there I don't have yet. May have to download tonight.

Thanks for the post.
You are quite a fine person, and I am very fond of you. But you are only quite a little fellow, in a wide world, after all.

But you should agree that my and Brian's (Slartibartfast) reviews are fair ... or at least his review is, my is at least trying to be.

There's a point where "avant-garde" and "experimental" becomes "terrible" and "pointless,"

The show I was at they did YYZ and the first set of Shine on You Crazy Diamond. Both were excellent.

Interesting choices I saw on their recent setlists:

Detroit Rock City
Red
Hell's Bells
Immigrant Song
In the Flesh
I Want You (She's So Heavy)
You are quite a fine person, and I am very fond of you. But you are only quite a little fellow, in a wide world, after all.

It's a decent enough album a bit too much funky for me but hey.  They are very generous with their live stuff.  I was at a package store a couple of years back and there were a couple of freebie CD promotional copies at the check out counter of a live show.  They've been by but I haven't made it to a show in person yet.

Ive seen them 3 times, and the shows Ive been to are among my favorite things to listen to by them (all soundboard mp3s)

Death by Stereo is probably a 2-3 star album based on PA standards, but it's a 4 star album in general. There isn't a lot of prog going on, but plenty of other good types of music.
