some info from the LastFM page

Wolf People are an English psychedelic rock band based in London, Bedford and North Yorkshire. They formed in 2006 around the release of a very limited CD EP on Sea Records as part of the Lifeboat Series. The EP was Stuart Maconie’s record of the week on his BBC6 show. They then released three 7” singles on Battered Ornaments Records, they quickly sold out and are now becoming quite sought after.

The band have been embraced by the psych community receiving great praise in Shindig magazine and Terrascope.com amongst others. Influenced by Captain Beefheart, Can, Pentangle, Dungen, Amon Duul II and television, the music is largely blues rock based but incorporates elements of folk, jazz, kraut, and country.

Wolf People signed to JAGJAGUWAR records in Autumn 2009 and have since released the singles collection TIDINGS and their debut full length STEEPLE.

this band is amazing Shocked the first album is like taking a time machine back to 1972 only that this is a UK band from 2000 era, but it sounds stil timeless and beautifull progressive rock, those who thought british modern prog scene was dead should listen to Wolf People, i am stunned...

And full of Krautrock-ish experimental / garagey flavour in this stuff. Interesting one. Cool

Great stuff, reminds me a bit of Luger, Mugstar, Diagonal and Future Kings Of England. Strong late '60s psych flavour. I notified the Psych Team.

Just thought I'd tidy this one up after the band was mentioned in Svetonio's interview with Napier's Bones just recently. They had two evaluations in Psych/Space - both of which resulted in 'move' decisions to Crossover, where they were eventually added with three straight 'yes' votes at the beginning of last year.  Thumbs Up
