I really cannot agree with this analysis.

Moon Safari sounds like nearly 70% of the symph prog subgenre, perhaps.

Totally disagree. Because it isn't true. Not to my ears at least.

Yea, Ive heard a lot of symphonic prog, and Moon Safari do have their own thing going on. Sure there is some Yes influence (but what symphonic band hasn't been inspired by Yes?), but their writing style mixed with the lush vocal melodies, gives Moon Safari their own sound.

Besides Yes, the influence by The Flower Kings is pretty obvious.

I'm interested in that kind of "peace" and "sunny" musics too.

So far, I've found:
- O Terço - 1974: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3NlooM2IBkE
- Spock Beard - The Doorway: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RGvt-xN0rK0
- Karmakanic - Traveling Minds: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tL6J7BjaCpo
- Harmonium - Dixie: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hwamxQMefNA
- Ebbot Lundberg - Calling from Heaven: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=igR4JZOa0rU
- Anthony Phillips - God if I Saw Her Now: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FTyxsrZd5mc
- Acqua Fragile - Going Out: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3oQDcBKhmxo
- Trees - Snail's Lament: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cgxrSa9uR-4
- Bacamarte - Passaro de Luz: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FcbWGSMSD50

Without citing a lot of songs from Supertramp, The Moody Blues, Magna Carta...

If you have advices for others band/songs, i'd be greatly interested.
Thanks in advance!

I recommend the band Ritual. They are also swedish. I suppose anyone who likes Moon Safari would also like the Flower Kings but I kind of doubt anyone would know MS but not TFK.

This song by an a capella choir - Perpetum Jazzile reminds me of Moon Safari:

Holy smokes that was fantastic. I saw and listened to their version of Africa on youtube also which was really great as well. This group takes that song to a whole other level.

If we're talking about Air, I love their stuff. So glad I stumbled onto them. Moon Safari's my favorite album by them.

I'd call their stuff prog; sort of a modern hip prog. Tasty, sophisticated, and urban. Sounds great in airports too for some reason...
