This forum has sunk to a new level of ...I dont know wot.
This is disrespectful to any skirt on this forum.
I call BAN (as in Ban' 'o Gypsies, Ban' aid and Ray-ban') .
Who is with me on this?

^ It's no worse than any number of Zappa tunes.
By your use of the word "skirt," can we assume irony? |

The Ron Geesin/Roger Waters 'Music From The Body' has some outright insane sonic experiments which are a crack-up.
GonG's 'Camembert Electrique' is full of whimsical nonsense.
Robert Calvert - both his 'Captain Lockheed....' and 'Lucky Leif.....' albums have funny moments (and some kick-ass tunes as well).
'Neil's Heavy Concept' album has tons of laughs a minute - "Oh Ken, I've known you since you were ten - Ken, you were a complete b*****d then, Ken....." sung rather shakily with simply strummed acoustic guitar.
.........does humour belong in music ??? Of course it does !!!

"Jump you jump. Jump into this blanket what we are holding and you will be alright"
He jumped, hit the deck, broke his neck, there was no blanket".
You're right, not an album to be played in polite company.

Incredible String Band - The Minotaur's Song
While drawing on the Greek myth it also manages to be humorous: "I'm the original discriminating buffalo-man, I'll do what's wrong as long as I can." |

Kevin Ayers has a number of songs that would fit this thread. But for my money Stop This Train is my favorite. One of my favorite songs ever actually.
The United States Of America's I Won't Leave My Wooden Wife For You is great fun. As for some wonderful 'black humor' Avant-Garde group Smegma often delivers. Wild Man Fischer needs a mention. |

The vibe section of King Crimson's "Fracture". Both in terms of content - seriously, it's pretty goofy - and a memory of mine.
My family had a little dog at the time when I first heard the piece on AOL Radio and when it got to that part, she started barking her head off. I think she must have mistaken the vibes Bill Bruford was using for the doorbell.

Evelyn A Modified Dog by Zappa will always make me laugh. Also the ending part of Mike Oldfield's Amarok where "Margaret Thatcher" is talking about endings and such . . . teehee

Blind Faith – Do What You Like. Near the very end before it fades completely, one of them (Grech?) does some bad Edward G. Robinson and Peter Lorre imitations. (“Nyah! Nyah!” “I have information…”)

Gentle Giant – Design. The song itself not so much funny (though it is one
of their stranger) but the opening interview bit always raises a chuckle, where
the band is asked “How would you describe your music?” to which the whole band
replies by talking all at once.
