Elton John surely has done some good work, but he owes quite a lot to the Beatles.

Both different classy artists.......terrible comparison. EJ in his own right pre 77' was unbelievable. The Beatles...well say it all

The Fab Four for sure. Elton has some great stuff especially on Madman, Yellow Brick Road, Honky Chateau and Tumbleweed though.

 ... I bet the one for John was a sympathy vote. In my head, John has NO chance against the mighty Fantastic Four.I agree with the people above: The Beatles were much more versatile and creative. Hey, didn't they significantly develop pop-prog with Sgt. Pepper?
