Hi there,

This week we have added:

* Silhouette - Across The Rubicon
* Elf Project - The Great Divide
* Red Sand - Behind The Mask
* Electric Swan - Swirl In Gravity
* Daal - Dodecahedron
* Seid - Magic Handshake
* We Could Build An Empire - We Could Build An Empire

Also:

* Become a Friend Of Progstreaming! For just 20 $ a year you're good to go. Right now we have special competitions running with chances of winning the new Semistereo and the new Marching Mind. If you are already a Friend, and you haven't received a special e-mail about this last week, contact me.
* Check out our partners-in-crime at Progulator, with their brilliant Bite-sized Prog. A five-star-review for the new Syndone, this time. You can read it all right here: http://progulator.com/reviews/bite-size/bite-size-prog-the-rock-oratorio/
* Note that the new Arjen Lucassen is a stream for only one week, which means it will be removed this upcoming Saturday, somewhere during the day. Don't take your chances, listen to it now, and order yourself a copy through the links.

That's it for this time; enjoy the music!

Hi there,

I'm very proud of these awesome additions this week. Being allowed to offer you these 6 masterpieces, humbles me.

* Alamaailman Vasarat - Valta
* Stabat Akish - Nebulos
* Light Coorporation - Aliens From Planet Earth
* Light Coorporation - Rare Dialect
* Subtilior - Absence Upon A Ground
* Altrock Chamber Quartet - Sonata Islands Goes RIO

Special notes:

* The new Light Coorporation is totally different from their first, which was featured last year too. Because you might have missed this ambitious band, I've decided to stream both for you. They come highly recommended.
* Subtilior is Michele Epifani's new sideproject. His day job I don't know, but his other hobby is Areknamés.
* You can figure out the rest; there's no Bite-sized Prog this week because of the holidays. Maybe next week.

Last chance listens:

* Mr Gil - I Want You To Get Back Home
* SBB - SBB
* Sweet Billy Pilgrim - Crown And Treaty
* Yossi Sassi - Melting Clocks
* Hasse Froberg and Musical Companion - Powerplay
* The Samuel Jackson Five - The Samuel Jackson Five
* XII Alfonso - Charles Darwin
* Chromus - Chromus
* Prisma - You Name It
* These Curious Thoughts - Building Mountains From The Ground
* Fuchs - Leaving Home
* Gekko Project - Electric Forest

Enjoy the music!

Hi there!

Always searching the internet for new, promising bands, Progstreaming has found two. Give them a couple of minutes of your time. The albums are short, but great!

* Sylvium - Purified

* Freedom To Glide - Rain

Plus:

* In case you've missed it, last week we had an adventurous update, with Alamaailman Vasarat, Altrock Chamber Orchestra, Light Coorporation, Subtilior (Areknamés side-project) and Stabat Akish.

Also, check out the bottom half of the site, for a lot of those streams will Tuesday disappear!

* If you have a Facebook-account, please join our discussion-group Progstreaming Extended. You will find it here:

http://www.facebook.com/groups/progstreaming/. Also, like our normal Progstreaming-page, right here:

http://www.facebook.com/progstreaming.

* Progstreaming has made two more Bandcamp-pages: Salmon

(http://salmonband.bandcamp.com) and Harvest (http://harvest-band.bandcamp.com). Want Progstreaming to make your Bandcamp? It's done within a week. Especially if your CDs are out of print for ages, you're most welcome. Don't let your music fall into oblivion! Costs: 50 €, which you only pay this if you've sold at least 10 copies. And if you want your CD to be a 'name your price', it's even for free!

* Support Progstreaming! Click on the banners and ads. Buy at Amazon (buy a book for your grandmother, for all we care), Beyond Rock, Bol, ITunes, Just for Kicks and Mindawn. Donate a couple of yen. We need

it, and it helps the music survive!

Enjoy the music!

Slowing down during the holidays?

I don't think so:

* Cirrus Bay - Whimsical Weather

* Darxtar - Aged To Perfection

* Weend'o - You Need To Know Yourself

* The Damnation Project - The Damnation Project

* TEE - Trans-Europe Expression

* Steve Thorne - Crimes & Reasons

* Autumn Chorus - The Village To The Vale

* Ordinary Brainwash - Me 2.0

Plus:

* Our friends at Progulator are back with their Bit-sized Prog. Read the latest entry here:

http://progulator.com/reviews/bite-size/bite-size-prog-travelling/.

* Support all our streams by buying what you hear. Some of these bands don't sell more than 500 CDs, so any support is welcome. Use the links under the stream.

* Support Progstreaming. By donating small amounts of money. But especially by sharing the streams with your friends through Twitter, Facebook, or just regular e-mail.

Music that isn't talked about, doesn't exist.

Enjoy the music!

Hi again,

I'm extremely honoured in presenting the following 7 streams:
* Frequency Drift - ...Laid To Rest (freaking masterpiece!)
* Innerspace - The Village
* Ethereal Architect - Monolith
* Steve Hillage Band - Live At The Gong Family Unconvention 2006
* Sound Of Ground - Sky Colored Green
* inFrictions - Maps Of Revenge And Forgiveness
* Northwinds - Winter

Please note also:
* If you like a certain stream, don't be quiet about it. 'Like' it, tweet about it, send an e-mail to your friend, and - by all means - buy the damn record. If you don't have a lot of money, buy it digital.
It's often cheap as hell, and you'll support your favourite genre with it. Some of these bands sell less than 500 copies. Only a few sell more than a 1000. It's thát serious. So please: if you like it, buy it. If you don't like it, don't buy it, but buy something else.
There's plenty of choice, isn't there?
* Use the links below the streams to buy stuff. Links go directly to the product at hand. Progstreaming receives a small percentage, so you'll be supporting the band ánd your favourite site. As for Amazon and Bol, it doesn't matter whát you buy.
* I could always use recommendations about what to stream. Always.
There's often a queue (up until a month actually, right now). But like you, I want only more prog!
* My dear friends from Progulator got their teeth into some RIO. Look what they've come up with it, right here:
http://progulator.com/reviews/bite-size/bite-size-prog-rio-takeover/.
Take a look on the rest of their site too, it's really nice!

Coming up: Erik Norlander, Ange, Echolyn. Stay put!

Enjoy the music!

To add more variety to these mini-reviews for this edition on, Matt Di Giordano will be joined by Tyson Nordgren and Markus Cueva.
* More than 2500 people have joined our regular Facebook, while more than 2000 die-hards participate in our discussion-group Progstreaming Extended. Why don't you come aboard and join?
* Almost 600 followers are at Twitter right now. Join now and receive a free CD. The 600th follower will be contacted and rewarded with a *great* yet-to-be-revealed album.

Enjoy the music!

Hi all,

Whether progrock is old or new, the first time YOU hear, it's new for you, isn't it? That's why - in corporation with the lovely Italian label BTF - we proudly present a whole special containing those beautifully designed, and remastered papersleeves. Except for L`Estate Di San Martino, that one is brand new, and has one Steve Hackett guesting on guitar.

The list goes as follows:

* L`Estate Di San Martino - Talsete Di Marsantino

* Alphataurus - Alphataurus

* Hostsonaten - Mirrorgames

* Robert Genco - Beyond The Life (Oltre La Vita)

* Campo Di Marte - Campo Di Marte

* Buon Vecchio Charlie - Buon Vecchio Charlie

* Panna Fredda - Uno

In case you missed it, a few days ago we featured:

* Echolyn - echolyn

Enjoy this special! Let us know what you think of it! Tweet it, get it on Facebook, or - hell - e-mail us.

We proudly present - in corporation with Gonzo Multimedia - two excellent new DVD/2-CD-sets from Erik Norlander:

* Erik Norlander - Live In Gettysburg (The Galactive Collective)

* Erik Norlander - Definitive Edition (The Galactive Collective)

This highly talented musician should be in one way or another in every serious prog-collection, I think. If you haven't heard the name yet, or heard the name but haven't experienced his excellent music, now's your chance!

Last update, only two days ago, we've featured some BTF-papersleeves remasters. I'm pretty sure you've by now figured out Alphataurus and Campo Di Marte are classics in Italian progrock, while the others waiting for (re)discovery. Note that L'Estate di San Martino is a brand new release, and it features Steve Hackett as guest.

Before that, we had the amazing new Echolyn.

Note the bottom half will soon be removed. Check i.e. Syndone (also a BTF-release), Barock Project, Unwritten Pages, Semistereo and Overhead.

Enjoy the music!

Here we go again!

* House Of Not - On The Madness Of Crowds (The Walkabout Pt 3)
* Jiezuberband - Sound Of The Sun
* Carpe Nota - Carpe Nota
* i.AB - Counting
* Trevor Rabin - Jacaranda
* Mothlite - Dark Age

And also:

* Check our beloved Progulator, right here: http://progulator.com/. They often have their Progstreaming-related "Bit sized Prog", but you will find a lot of other great reviews, like a 5-star-review of the Anglagard.
* Support Progstreaming by donating (small) amounts using the 'donate' button. If you donate 20 € or more, you will automatically become a Friend Of Progstreaming. This autumn, we will going to treat all of the Friends with some free downloads through one of our Bandcamps, and there are also some special Friends-competitions coming up.
* Support Progstreaming by using the links and buy a product. Often you'll find some of them cheap as hell (like the excellent i.AB for just 5 $ USD!), so make use of this. As for Amazon and Bol, we receive a percentage (up to 10% for digital), but Just for Kicks, Beyond Rock and Syn-Phonic (they pay an annual fee, for which we are grateful) simply have more in stock. Don't underestimate these last three. They're quick, cheap and they'll search the earth for your demands!
* Also, visit the sites of the bands and artists themselves. Bookmark them. Talk with them. You will notice many artists are actually fans themselves and they love to talk to you!
* Finally, talk about these 6 streams, or any of the streams at Progstreaming, over at Twitter, Facebook, or whatever Social Media you're into. Be like Echolyn: 'there's lots of room on this island'.

This weekend we will feature Netherland Dwarf (2 releases, one for free (warning: a strange, strange release!)) and ex-White Willow-member Tirill (also, 2 releases). Both artists that are in need for discovery!

That's all for now, enjoy the music!

What an amazing year is has been so far!

Even we at Progstreaming HQ almost can't keep up, although our whole staff dedicate their lives 24/7 on this mission to bring you the unexpected, the well-known, and the future of progrock.

Last year the mysterious artist Netherland Dwarf (his real identity is a mystery) brought the highly progressive Musea-release "Moi Moi".

This year he made a 'toy music'-EP inspired by the music of Pascal Comlade. Our expert at toy music (his desk filled with toys) says it's very good, but we all think it's weird. It's for free though, and you must hear it.

Tirill Mohn played some violin on "Ignis Fatuus" by White Willow, but has crafted a nice solo career since then. It's time to allow her a moment in the spotlight, for her music is really pretty. Two of her latest albums are featured.

To summarize:

* Tirill - Tales From Tranquil August Gardens

* Tirill - Nine And Fifty Swans

* Netherland Dwarf - Pay The Piper (free download!)

* Netherland Dwarf - Moi Moi (re-feature)

And this is important too:

* Use the Social Media under the artwork, 'like' and tweet the album at hand. Talk to people about your discoveries. Our motto should be 'Share It. Like It. Buy It', maybe.

* Support Progstreaming, and the best way to do this is to donate one million dollar, or just buy the stuff we stream following the links at hand.

Oh, this Tuesday we will have some 'heavy' stuff. Sort of.

Enjoy the music!

Hi there,

I hope you've enjoyed the Tirill/Netherland Dwarf-special this weekend. If you haven't checked them out, please do!

Meanwhile, Progstreaming now features 9 new streams:

* Katatonia - Dead End Kings (2 weeks only!)
* Distorted Harmony - Utopia
* 3RDegree - The Long Division
* Ulver - Childhood's End
* Thank You Scientist - Maps On Non-Existent Places
* Reserve De Marche - The Last Twenty Years
* Luna Kiss - Echoes Of Sound
* Stormy Atmosphere - Colorblind
* Root Deco - Crystal Pool

Announcement:

* This coming Friday (September 7th) we will premiere the new Moon Safari, for just one week! This EP, the follow-up to 2010 "Lover's End", will contain only one track, but it's almost 25 minutes long. You will then be able to buy it at one of their concerts only! So if you're unable to go, you're a progfan to be pitied, har har! :)
Besides that, experiencing Moon Safari live is a real treat, so go!

And also:

* The excellent website of Progulator should now be bookmarked by all of you. They had great fun making their Bit Sized Prog centering around the previous BFT.IT Papersleeve Special: http://progulator.com/reviews/bite-size/bite-size-prog-btf-italia/.
* For bands and labels: the small buttons on the left or for sale. This is a good place to give extra attention to one of your streams on the page, for I know the competition is tough. Prices are no secret, they are reduced from 15 to 10 € a month, or 25 € if you want to run it until the end of the year. The buttons are 160px × 60px with a link to either your stream or your e-shop. If you want, we make these buttons for you.
* Many of you know I'm also a reviewer for Progwereld, the Dutch main site for prog. We are now celebrating the 150th edition of the interactive Prog Top 20 with the unpronounceable Dutch name 'De Wereldse Tien'. Anyway, though it's in Dutch, foreigners may also cast their votes. So head over http://www.progwereld.org/cms/de-wereldse-10/, check the current list, and find the form to cast your votes. Mind the one rule though: it must be prog less than 8 months old.

That's it, I think. Talk again Friday!

Enjoy the music!

Hi there!

Progstreaming is proud to announce the premiere of the stream:

* Moon Safari - Lover's End Pt. II, Skelleftea Serenade

You will find, it's awesome. Hurry though, for it's only for one week (stream will get deleted on Friday September 14th).

Now here's the trick: you can't yet buy it in the stores. If you want it, you should go to one of Moon Safari's concerts. Where do they play? You can find a list on their Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Moon-Safari/208896934856.

By the way, Moon Safari live is nothing less than a sensation. It will bring constant smiles of satisfaction on your face. You should go.

Enjoy it!

Hi there,

Because I'm Dutch myself, I thought it would be funny doing an all-Dutch update. Quite an interesting one too, if I say so myself!

* The Gathering - Disclosure
* Kong - Merchants Of Air
* Zylver - Van Verre
* Toyz - The Infinite Road
* Enorm - Finding My Way
* Marathon - The First Run (remastered)
* Philhelmon - Enjoy It While It Lasts!

Also:

* The premiere of the (brilliant) EP from Moon Safari will only stay at Progstreaming until Friday! You can only (for now) buy it at their concerts. Go see them in concert! They are awesome live.
* Check out our friends of Progulator. They have indeed an excellent site! Check out e.g. the review of last weeks' update Distorted Harmony: http://progulator.com/reviews/distorted-harmony-utopia/.
* Do check out Zylver: it's in the Dutch language! It comes in a beautifully crafted booklet, with all the lyrics and stories about the songs included. Not cheap, but worth it indeed. In all in Dutch though, sorry! ;)
* And if indeed you can read Dutch, Progstreaming is featured in the latest Io-Pages: http://www.iopages.nl/indexuk.html.
* This weekend we'll have a very Big Big Surprise for you! Oh, boy, I just gave away the surprise, haven't I? ;))

Enjoy the music while it lasts!

Enough fooling around. Let's get serious:

* Big Big Train - English Electric Part 1
* Archive - With Us Until You're Dead
* Mostly Autumn - The Ghost Moon Orchestra
* Threshold - March Of Progress

Also:

* Win a copy of the new Philhelmon! Listen to the stream (here you go: http://www.progstreaming.com/_wb/pages/play-album.php?activeAlbum=00174%20-%20Philhelmon%20-%20Enjoy%20It%20While%20It%20Lasts) and answer this question: who's behind Philhelmon? Among the right answers we will pick out three winners, and they'll receive a CD of "Enjoy It While It Lasts".
* The EP of Moon Safari will be removed 0.00 Central Delft Time. So that's (depending on when you read this mail) maybe only a couple of hours. Do check if it's still there (here U go again: http://www.progstreaming.com/_wb/pages/play-album.php?activeAlbum=00173%20-%20Moon%20Safari%20-%20Lover%60s%20End%20Pt.%20III%20%28Skelleftea%20Serenade%29) or if the water has moved on... It's by the way on pre-order here: http://www.therecordlabel.net/progressive-rock/moon-safari/lover-s-end-pt-iii-skelleftea-serenade/ and here: http://www.beyondrock.nl/index.php?pPagina=catalogus&action=productdetails&id=6902&noOrder=N, and here: http://www.justforkicks.de/detail.asp?sid=1372302M77N170N189N79&uid=0&id=14676&lid=1.

If you like what you hear, don't hesitate clicking the band's own site to buy it, or one of our lovely sponsors. They've all promised me to send it awfully quick. And IMO you need all 4.

Enjoy the music!
