There is a poll around about "And you and I" vs "The Rain Song". I was just listening to "The Rain Song" a little while ago, and it seemed to me that is resemble better with "Turn of the Century", because of the way the acoustic guitar is played and the tempo of both songs. So, which one of this songs do you like better?

The Rain Song!! One of the rare occasions when I woukd pick a Zeppelin song over Yes.

The Rain Song is my favourite Zeppelin song, but going against Yes....I'm going with Yes.

Wow, good match up, even though I'm far more touched and intrigued by "Turn of the Century" (one of the few songs I've shed tears over).

"The Rain Song" is amazing, and perhaps my favorite Led Zeppelin song.

I agree, great match up - but I've gone for The Rain Song too - great stuff in itself, but also for the supposed cheeky introduction - where after being told by George Harrison that LZ don't do enough ballads, Page quotes 'Something' in the opening notes

Six of one and half a dozen of the other.  I voted for Turn of the Century for its story telling and radiant beauty (of course, that same term could be used for the Rain Song).  I'll have to listen for that "Something" quote - interesting info.

It's one of those days weather wise that meets the mood of the Rain Song.

I like it better despite the Hoooh. Ah~hoh~oh~oh and Ah ooh~ooh-yeah~yeah~yeah!

Perhaps Roan shaped Plant's heart through his working hands?

I saw Howe perform an instrumental version of Turn at a tiny solo gig in the early 90s.  It was at First Avenue in Mpls and there were about 100-150 people there, I was literally standing 10 feet away as he played this long and moving version of the song.  One of the highlights of my very long concert-going career. 

He was a very gracious performer, smiling often and seemed a bit shy.  The only moment I cringed was when he did Heat of the Moment and sang it.  That was my moment to head to the beer line.
