This band are not interested in being signed, they realise that the music biz is all bollocks and all their future releases are free to download, no pressure, they are not beholding to a record company, a debt, or a self proposed obligation.

Finally worked out the youtube configuration needed, you now need to input the long link as opposed to new short link anyway I'll get back to the spin

Perhaps there should be a section on this forum for bands to promote themselves that don't wish to suck up to record companies?

The BBCode doesn't understand the hyperlink that Chrome automatically makes urls, that's why. Firefox and IE don't do that, to the best of my knowledge.

If a band does not wish to be signed by a record company then they cannot be classified as unsigned as they have not attempted to engage a records company interest. This should invalidate them from being inflicted with the category of being an unsigned band. A category which seems to be seen as derogatory as opposed to signed bands.

Yes this is the same band, never signed to a label, apart from our own, all albums have been self released. But it is not financially viable so until it is all songs will be released as downloads only.

"Independent" is a better word than unsigned. (but of course then you have to deal with people who think "indy" is a genre)   :)

+1 ditto.

I was ALMOST insulted once, then twice when my albums were reviewed by the guys over at BeardRock.com in the "Stubble" (aka unsigned) category.

Like Geddy says: If you choose not to decide [which label you'll whore yourself to] you still have made a choice!
