I wish to see her in concert here in Serbia. Amazing voice, amazing backing band ...
btw, I'm curious about the guy on the electric guitar who did fantastic progressive rock solo in Сидели Наши Души video from above posted YouTube samples.. Do you know him?

Amazing band with an amazing amount of history! Don't see how they can NOT be added here really - there's a great diversity of material in their back catalogue, but some of it must surely meet the criteria for prog folk. I don't envy the team's task of going through it all though, should it get the nod for evaluation. I wouldn't expect this to be a quick addition at all...the bio in itself will be quite a task (unless they use the one from myspace, I guess) - just look at the personnel who've contributed to the project over the years here on rateyourmusic: http://rateyourmusic.com/artist/рада_and_терновникShocked

Yam Yam, something is wrong with that RYM link you posted; or I can't open it.
I find RYM page but with not so many infos about Rada & Ternovik.
Nevermind, here is one more beautiful video from them, Darkness (an electro acoustic version):

Thanks for pointing out the dodgy link Svetonio! Try this one: http://rateyourmusic.com/artist/%D1%80%D0%B0%D0%B4%D0%B0_and_%D1%82%D0%B5%D1%80%D0%BD%D0%BE%D0%B2%D0%BD%D0%B8%D0%BA, which is the same page I was looking at yesterday (it looks weird with all those %, marks in it, but that's what it shows in my browser's URL box while I'm viewing it right now...), but why the link has changed since I last went there haven't a clue... Confused

Yes, I did look at the Russian Acid, Underground & Contemporary Folk page that you posted the link to above, just a couple of days ago, and downloaded three tracks from there. The samples are only 64kbps, and not all tracks are available from the 3 albums of the band that they feature, but it's certainly a good site to visit to get an idea of their material. Thumbs Up

I listened to the first sample and it sounds like clean acoustic folk music to me, with world music influences. Similar to Lhasa a bit; good stuff. No relation to rock or prog, though.

I think this is a classic case of an artistic band that made some progressive music, rather than what we would consider a 'typical' progressive band.

There's enough here to convince me but I can't speak for the rest of the Prog Folk team.

One comment in general about Russian bands though.  At some point we're going to need a bit of help with the album info since the Archives isn't a very Cyrillic-friendly site.  We already have Crematorium who have been approved but I can't find any English listings for their albums.  There's another Russian band too whose name escapes me - I'll look it up when I get home tonight.  And if we add this one that makes three we need to get translations for.

Any volunteers?

The myspace link that Svetonio gave us in the o.p. has an extremely exhaustive bio on the right hand side, with all the major events in the band's history listed chronologically, and a list of all their albums at the bottom...all in perfect English!! -  It's all been done for you already, if you do eventually add them, of course...just maybe needs a little editing down to fit it on the page?? Tongue

Edit: for Crematorium  (if this is the correct band: http://www.crematorium.ru/history/discography), just get someone with google toolbar installed in their browser, and the translation function enabled, to load the above link and then hit the 'translate' tab which will appear as soon as Russian is detected on the webpage. It makes a pretty good job of it tbf. Failing that, this site: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/%D0%9A%D1%80%D0%B5%D0%BC%D0%B0%D1%82%D0%BE%D1%80%D0%B8%D0%B9 has their bio in English, and a list of their albums in both Russian and English below that. Thumbs Up

I can help with translations, but they will not be authorised (very few Russian bands provide translations of songs' titles).

Good band with good sense of humour and interesting lyrics (if you speak Russian). Never thought of them as of a prog band. In my opinion Crematorium is not even prog-related.
