Certainly sounds promising from the samples. The guys here won't be able to actually consider the band for addition to the site until the album has been officially released though. Perhaps you could refresh this thread once this has happened?

The thread will certainly be refreshed upon the album's release - as a large promotional campaign hits the internet. Glad you enjoyed the samples! Stay tuned for more

Hey All,

Here's the first installment of our rather lighthearted 'Studio Vlog'. Just a bit of fun in anticipation for the album!

Enjoy!

Somehow I forgot about this, listening again. Do you guys have an official release out? Your sig says your debut album is due in April, but I didn't know if you had any other releases like an EP.

Hi Andy,

This is the closest thing we have to an 'official release' at this stage. (Hosted on soundcloud)
'The Kettle Spider' could be considered a 'single' i suppose as we were lucky enough to have it played on Australian radio a few times.

And this song has recieved a bit of attention..

Lots of work has gone into the debut album and we want it to be as special as possible.
We certainly can't wait for you to hear it. We are all 19/20yo and doing it all ourselves.

Follow us on facebook/youtube to stay up to date with album info and studio footage if you like.

Lovely to be in touch

Hm, 13 mins. is a bit lax for inclusion, so I think I'll wait until the full album is released. Smile
And gosh, I feel like the Aussie prog scene has exploded exponentially in the past year or two - a very good thing indeed! It seems the Aussia Heavy Prog acts always seem to lead the pack in terms of ingenuity especially.

that's certainly understandable andy - its not an official release, just a collection of simple, home produced recordings!

yes there is a boom in the australian prog scene at the moment, its a really great thing for the music - and there's a healthy blend of comradery and competition between the bands playing the style.

will post the next studio vid here in the next few days.

and cam! cool to hear from you on this forum! hope montresor are flying high!

cheers!

Hello everybody,

I happily return to the progarchives with yet another update.

Linked below is the first single from 'Avadante' - slated for an independent mid-April release.

This track is the opener (there is some brief dialogue before it on the album) and it gives you a rough idea as to the production and sonic experience of the album.

Please feel free to leave your feedback with the band, we really hope you enjoy the song!

Great track! Looking forward to the rest of the album now!! Tbf, I'm not sure at the moment whether you are outright Prog Metal or more suited to Heavy Prog, as was the case with Montressor. This particular track is certainly heavier than most of their stuff is, but I guess the guys will need to hear the whole thing before they can properly assign you to a sub genre.

Haha, perhaps when the album is released it will be interesting to leave it with the powers that be, who can properly assign the correct genre to our music. We'd be delighted to be featured on the site in any capacity! Honestly, i think we are a little unsure where the album truly fits in genre-wise ourselves! In any case, thrilled you enjoyed the track!

The debut album is just around the corner!

In anticipation, here is a little youtube clip of one of the album's new songs - with photos from the past 12 months of gigging and recording!

It provides you with an opportunity to learn a bit about the band on a more personal level!

We hope you enjoy it!

Also, may we ask for an expression of interest from anyone who might be interested in reviewing the album?

If you let us know in this thread, we will contact you when it is out Embarrassed
