Kate has been nominated for a Best Female Solo Artist 25 years after she last won it (1987 - the year Peter Gabriel also won Best Male Solo artist)... She's up against Adele, Jessie J, Laura Marling and Flourence Welch.
What?

Hi everybody!

Imo, Kate Bush is by far the best British female
artist ever!
So what?

Hope she wins! I'll admit I do like Adele and would be happy if she wins too.

She doesn't stand a chance, but it's always good to be named.
Bigger on the inside.

She's the best, though she will not win, only in dreams.

I'm thinking that being a Brit should disqualify you although having "brit" in your name like say, Brittany Spears, should be OK
Released date are often when it it impacted you but recorded dates are when it really happened...

Not wanting to be too picky here, (well perhaps just for comedic value), but isn't Brittany a region of France whereas the young lady in question called Britney.
What?

Britney, not Brittany?  Aww hell, never mind. Embarrassed

(well stab me with a spear)

I did find the uh French connection, Britney was raised in Kentwood Louisiana...

Parish the thought. Tongue

Dunno what the politics of the Brit awards are, but even though Adele is pretty good, I wouldn't want to be one of the winners beating out Kate Bush. No one compares.

Also, if Jessie J wins can we have the go ahead to firebomb the building? Party

Alright.  Fess up.  Which PA member is this?  http://news.yahoo.com/report-us-kate-bush-fan-deported-over-proposal-134345991.html

LONDON (AP) — British police say a man was arrested close to the home of singer Kate Bush, amid media reports a fan broke into her home in England and attempted to propose marriage.

Devon and Cornwall Police confirmed Saturday that a 32-year-old man was detained on Dec. 26 and later deported, following a report of damaged property at Bush's home in Devon, southwestern England.

The Daily Mail newspaper reported that the man was Frank Tufaro, from New York, who had flown to Britain with a $4,500 Tiffany engagement ring.

It quoted him as saying he was inside Bush's house "for about eight minutes before I realized I had to leave."

The newspaper said the singer was not at home at the time of the incident.

Police said the detained man was deported by the U.K. Border Agency.

I'd be surprised if she got it, but yes it;s good that she's nominated.

I suspect Adele will get it, and it wouldn't be totally undeserved. She is very talented, even if I find her songs a little grating, and overplayed by daytime radio.
Ultimately bored by endless ecstasy!
