Another very sad and disgusting act carried out in war.
Hate to be such a cynical b*****d but its almost not even a surprise with all the stories we hear and the others we don't really hear about (officially).

Just my 2 cents: We know in the military the targets are just that...and I do think it takes getting into a certain mindset to do what it is the military has to do. I think it's why we see so much abuse, it's not doing just a job..some (and those some give all a bad name) do just view it as a target and not even human, or even as "evil" and do these terrible things because well..they didnt deserve to live and are evil anyway, so its fine to urinate on their corpse.

Its not just a US or current thing either, how many sad stories have their been throughout history? I just think it takes such a mindset and getting so "amped up" to do what they do, that  judgment, composure and even sanity are lost temporarily. Especially in the heat of the battle. It's kind of sad to me all around, not that it justifies the actions of those few.

See, here's the thing, I can understand our soldier doing this because they had hostility towards the taliban enemy.  Filming it and letting it get out on youtube was just stupid.

What is there to say?  Ugliness is ugliness no matter the reason.

It's ugly and technically a war crime.But you have to get into the mindset of a combat soldier,serving multiple tours of duty.It hardens you,especially when you can get killed at any moment...24/7.Human life means very little,except for the people you are serving with.I saw much worse than this just in Somalia.Grunts in Nam used to cut ears off of enemy dead and dried them and wore them on necklaces.This sh*t happens,it's war,and it's not pretty.

I have no problem with this at all. Not saying I would do the same but  I am unmoved about it. 

You can ascertain a lot about someone's character in threads like these.

Both examples of appalling unacceptable behaviour.

At this point I'm assuming the clip is off marines p!ssing on dead men. No one has answered that question yet.
