The other album I posted (well it's actually just a soundboard quality show from zappateers.com). This is an excellent companion to 'Buffalo', and maybe a better performance. Different set list, with not only great Zappa solos, but also slide guitar solos, and they are ripping solos, like one during City of Tiny Lights. Excellent show, the sound quality is excellent and clear; you can get the show here - http://www.zappateers.com/bb/viewtopic.php?t=2576&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0&sid=ac4fd72885464c732bfc6072adfb7a13

Thanks for the tip, I'll check that one out sometime.

BTW, you mentioned that such downloads are legal (and I'm sure they are), but I couldn't help but think of Gail Zappa's loudly voiced opposition in the past concerning "non-official releases", even when no money changes hands.  How does Zappateers deal with this conflict?  Is there a conflict to begin with?  I'm a couple of years out of the Zappa loop.

I'm not sure, Ive only been recently getting back into all the FZ stuff. I havent seen any conflict issues over at their forum.
My Last.fm
Jazz-rock conspiracy? Zappa and Miles played at the same festivals in the
summer of '69 right BEFORE Hot Rats AND Bitches Brew were recorded.

A most excellent album, I might add.  Wilson's best release since PT's In Absentia, in my opinion.
