Me too now. First listen. Some Jefferson Airplane-like singing there. I like it!

Btw, do you know why it has a different album cover here on PA?

The one with the tree is cooler IMO.

I wasn't dissappointed, just a little surprised.  You seem to like your Ellen Page avatars a lot.

The tree one is much cooler.  It's a Roger Dean cover, btw!  It's also the one I own.  One of my all-time favorite albums.

Mars Volta - Noctourniquet.

Only recently gotten this, one thing in particular stands out after a couple of listens: The opening track, The Whip Hand, is absolutely dreadful, easily the worst they have ever done. The band is so much off target with this particular track, they're standing with their backs towards the target and firing in the opposite direction. There's an almost astronomical divide between the brilliance of Cassandra Gemini and the atrociousness that is The Whip Hand. The rest of the album sounds promising though, seems like it's going to be a grower with repeated listens.

Oh, and The Malkin Jewel has a very White Stripes-esque feel to it.

With magic, you can turn a frog into a prince.
With science, you can turn a frog into a Ph.D. and you still have the frog you started with.
