Been a while - life's going well - feels mysteriously transitional at the moment. Have grown older. Still at uni pretending to be a poet/scholar very unconvincingly. Became a bit of a Marxist by accident, have accepted that drinking more has not made me better at drinking more, girl I think I must have been moping embarrassingly about last time I was a regular on PA has lost all traces of reason, so we're together (or maybe that happened before I went quiet - dunno). Latest clever plan was to do a thesis on an obscure thingy before finding out the only available commentary is in 48 books and in French, which I don't speak, so rolling with that...
Also, I think my primary man-crush has transferred from Peter Hammill to Roy Harper. Probably the most radical change, really...
Well, well. It sounds intense! A bit transitional over here as well with master thesis decisions, work and whatnot. Whisky rather than gin, no Marxism and....stop-the-presses-what's-this-now-about-Hammill!?!
I still put on Still Life or House of Usher or Over or something and go gooey sometimes. I'm not sure if I'm aiming to follow the way Roy's variety of dreadful facial hair over the years eventually became very cool or if I'm just envious of how good a poet he is while still being great at other things.

Can't say I've more than scratched the surface when it comes to Jansch and Roy Harper. Hardly remember anything of it, but then I never focused on the lyrics at all. Go for dreadful facial hair. Way better than my weak-ass goatee

Dreadful facial hair is a work happily in progress. Bits of my face are keener on the plan than other bits of it. Haven't heard much Jansch (I just *can't* pay attention to the words in his early stuff... I have no idea why not) but I love that song. On the Harper front I'm going to try to write a couple of reviews when I'm being lazy.
I'm allowing myself to stay around here as long as I... A) don't get into a****le arguments about why other people are wrong to like things because I accept it's probably a bit silly spending a lot of time trying to get people to enjoy things less unless it's at the same level of importance as The Apprentice, the olympics or the monarchy . B) no libertarian thread for me. ever.

Two things that will keep you at least decently mentally healthy. Nice to see you around, but I really have to sleep now. Work tomorrow. Goodnight!
