Jose Luis Fernandez Ledesma Motivos Para Perderse album cover
First listen.

I was given his album "Sol Central" (with Margarita Botello) to review ages ago (pre-PA), and it was one of my favorite releases of that year.  I took it into work, and announced I was going to go into Super Concentration Mode, as I put this album on the computer disk drive and put on the headphones in my cubicle and asked not to be bothered as I got some important work done.  After about 10 minutes I could see people milling about behind me, a few comments aimed my way, which I ignored.  Finally I took off the headphones to see what they wanted AND THE DESK SPEAKERS WERE ON REAL LOUD, DISTURBING EVERYONE IN THE BUILDING.  Meanwhile this really strange zeuhl kind of music was playing. How embarrassing.  Everyone was cool about it though.

Zeuhl is da bee's knees man. I played Köhntarkosz at the preschool where I work a little while back, and got every little kid to jump up and down like a warmongering orc taken directly out of Lord of the RingsLOL You just don't hear much of it on the radio these days. The only way to sneak it into your working milieu, is probably bringing it yourself I gather.

I really wish that this had turned out to be more than just a one off supergroup release.  This is such a cool album.

Yeah well Steve, between the psychos and culminating paranoia of the 21st century - my guess is that you won't ever get to see footage like that. I'd love to see it for myself too, but sadly everything has to go through parents, politics and paper in this day and age.
Damn, my brand new idea of "Magma Aerobics for kids" just went out the window...

Listening to one of the greatest hip hop albums ever recorded,Paul's Boutique by the Beastie Boys.

Dedicating this listen to Adam Yauch (MCA)...RIP

Here to stay until Joe Cool raises it for a 2nd time...

Generous repackaging of Belle and Sebastian's first 7 EPs (all non-LP songs) on two CDs.

I love this album, very melodic guitar-driven music.

Eric Johnson <- how's the guitar tone, though? Is there a grand emphasis on mood? Any hints of minimalism, at least?

a more melodic SRV and with a broader approach to music, very fluid and with echoing effects. Eric Johnson is also a very good singer, with a warm voice.

He played with the jazz-rock band Electromagnets in the seventies :
