Nothing from heavy prog? I'd expect you to love Frances the Mute.

Lets give it a try!
Canterbury Scene - Hatfield And The North: Hatfield And The North Crossover Prog - Peter Gabriel: UP Eclectic Prog - King Crimson: Red Experimental/Post Metal - Heavy Prog - Rush: Hemispheres Indo Prog/Raga - Jazz Fusion - Return to Forever: Romantic Warrior Krautrock - Amon Düül II: Tanz der Lemminge Neo Prog - Marillion: Script for a Jester's Tear Post/ Math Rock - Godspeed You! For psych I was going to select PF's Animals, but I guess it isn't psych enogh... For related I also considered David Bowie's Heroes. +I left out the two sub-genres I don't really know that well Indo Prog/Raga and Experimental/Post Metal |

Canterbury - Soft Machine - Third
Crossover - Peter Gabriel - 3 (I start to notice a pattern) Eclectic - VdGG - Still Life Heavy Prog - Not really my favorite genre, but I guess Salisbury by Uriah Heep is good Indo/Raga - Codona 3 - Codona or Natural Elements - Shakti Jazz Fusion - Pekka Pohjola - Keesojen Lehto Krautrock - Agitation Free - Malesch Prog Folk - Passions Play - Jethro Tull Prog Electronics - Klaus Schulze - Timewind Space/Psyche - Wish You Were Here - Pink Floyd RIO/Avant - Klossa Knapitatet - Samla Mammas Manna RPI - Rocky's Filj - Storie Di Uomini NoN Symphonic Prog - Harmonium - Si On Avait Besion D'Une Cinqueème Saison Zeuhl - Shub Niggurath - Les Morts Vont Vite Some of these were really hard. I think that choosing one for JF/R, RPI, Symph and Avant was close to impossible.

Canterbury Scene - Khan "Space Shanty" Crossover Prog - tie (because it's a vague category and these two artists are completely unalike) Mike Oldfield "Hergest Ridge" Deerhoof "Friend Opportunity" Eclectic Prog - tough one! Steve Hackett "Voyage of the Acolyte" Heavy Prog - Rush "Moving Pictures" Jazz Fusion - Bela Fleck and the Flecktones "Live at the Quick" Krautrock - Faust "Faust" (though I like listening to "Faust/ So Far" as one album) Post/ Math Rock - Hella "Hold Your Horse Is" Prog Folk - Jethro Tull "Thick As A Brick" Prog Electronic - Mort Garson/ Jaques Wilson (The Wozard of Iz) "An Electronic Odyssey" (because Brian Eno's "Here Come the Warm Jets" isn't really a progressive electronic album) Psych Space - Pink Floyd "Dark Side of the Moon" RIO/ Avant - I just can't pick one over the other! I adore this band! Slapp Happy "Sort Of..." Slapp Happy "Casablanca Moon" Symphonic - Yes "Close to the Edge" Prog Related - Led Zeppelin "Physical Graffiti" Proto Prog - The Who "Tommy"
