These are all the highest chart positions ever for these artists. The numbers are the highest position and number of weeks in chart

for example

VDGG  -  The Least We Can Do Is wave.... got to the postioin of 47 and stayed in the UK charts for 2 weeks. And this album was their highest position.

Short Stories.  The album came out when I was just seriously getting into prog.  I was a big fan of Vangelis due in no small part to some of his music being featured on the documentary Cosmos.  I was already a fan of Jon due to Yes.

Released date are often when it it impacted you but recorded dates are when it really happened...

Surprised VdGG made it to the charts at all...but I'll vote for them, why not.  Kraftwerk is second.

Interesting Poll.

1. Camel - Moonmadness
2. Jon and Vangelis - Short Stories
3. Renaissance - A Song for all Seasons
4. Weather Report - Heavy Weather
5. Tangerine Dream - Rubycon

I voted Short Stories.
Great, original album, even if it would not get the prog tag.

Didn't Gong's You make it to #14? Would've voted for that, otherwise Rubycon.

In The Wake Of Poseidon was KC's highest charting album??

No wonder they were always unpopular!

I voted for Heavy Weather because it's the grooviest.

Strawbs needed a vote......
I never post anything anywhere without doing more than basic research, often in depth.
