I love both
but

I feel the tracks on Free Hand are more masterfully executed (especially On Reflection) so I voted for that.

Power & Glory
Dig me...But don't...Bury me
I'm running still, I shall until, one day, I hope that I'll arrive
Warning: Listening to jazz excessively can cause a laxative effect.

Free Hand, my favorite GG LP, finds the band masterfully presenting their monastic, medieval 'roots.' Me like! Just can't top "On Reflection," "Free Hand," "Talybont" and"His Last Voyage" for (re-)creating the feeling of a time LONG gone. Yet, so polished and beautiful!

I agree, but I'll give my vote to The Power And The Glory. It's probably my favourite Gentle Giant album.

The Power and the Glory is one of the greatest concept albums ever.  My review of it is perhaps my best.

I think Power & the Glory is GG's most accomplished album.

I vote for Free Hand.

ARRGH. Two albums I don't yet own from one of my favorite bands... Embarrassing I know.

Free Hand by not very much.

Both tremendous albums by a tremendous band.
I have many faults. Being wrong is not one of them.

The Power And The Glory is their crowning achievement for me.  An album about politics and leaders and followers that speaks as true today as when it was written.
