Three Friends has the last two that are my favourite GG tracks, but Octopus is more consistent. I'll vote it.

I'm not a fan of this band, but there are good moments on Octopus.

Octopus doesn't make much sense to me musically (especially in terms of melody, form, and texture). Voted for the more stable and most favorite GG album, Three Friends.

Octopus because it has still more prehensile limbs than all Three Friends.

About the same position for though, though less harsh on 3 Friends. It's good, but not near as great as Octopus.

Three Friends by far. Octopus is one of my least favourite GG albums to be quite honest. Inconsistent in my opinion.

I prefer Gentle Giant after they got a bit heavier (rockier?!) in their approach so Octopus gets my vote.

They're both great albums. I'm going to let nostalgia rule the day and pick Octopus simply because the first GG song I ever heard was Knots.
