Well, I reckon I'll jump on the bandwagon here. So...
Vote for your least favorite. However, this survival involves Gentle Giant's studio albums. Also, the bottom two of each round will be eliminated. With eleven studio albums, this means that the final round will consist of three contenders, and the one with the least number of votes will be crowned the winner. Poll closes around 6PM EST the next day (or as close to that as I can be at my computer to announce the results ). |

I actually don't mind Civilian so much.
However Giant for a Day is dreadful. I vote that. Also, this is actually a great band to do this kind of poll with, because the opinions on their "best" album are so varied. I'm interested. ![]() Edited by DisgruntledPorcupine - February 25 2012 at 12:03 |

Having never heard their last two, my vote goes for The Missing Piece. Based on the results thus far, I think I was right to avoid those two.
![]() I actually almost voted Interview, assuming only the classic 8 would be included.

Am I allowed to vote even though I haven't heard Giant for a Day and Civilian?

I considered making a rule that, in case of a tie, I would tally votes from previous outcomes in order to break the tie.
That would institute a risk-reward aspect: "Hmm, I know albums X & Y will lose, so maybe I'll vote for album Z, since I want to see it beaten later..." That could lead to X & Y actually surviving. ![]() Maybe I'll do that. ![]() |

Giant For A Day.
Sans Spooky Boogie this album is unlistable to me. Unlike Civilian which I just choose not to listen too.

Giant for a Day is a decent album IMO. The title track is cool and Spooky Boogie is funny

Civilian is in my opinion very good album. I do not know why it gets a bagging.
Giant For A Day, however, is on the whole embarrassing. Very embarrassing.

Well, forty minutes late to my own party, but I think the two losers are apparent.

Giant for a Day. Civilian is slightly better, but for me Giant for a Day is painful to listen to.
