OK, the Oscars came up in a thread.  This question will probably date you and locate you.  If the answer is yes, what did you see?  Kind of an old fogie's thread I think.

Nope, but there was one around where my parents live that closed down right whenever we moved there. I'd like to go to see a movie at a drive-in someday.

Well, I'm from France. It's nearly useless to say that the Drive-In isn't a tradition here.
Excuse me, sir, do you have a moment to talk about our lord and savior, Neptune, god of the Sea?

Well, no.  I wish really as it always looks cool.  In this country its a bit cold.

I saw a film in the city centre when they set up a screen, that was in the summer of course and was really nice watching a film outside on the grass.  (No, not smoking grass Smoke)

We had one by our house when I was a kid.  I remember going there with my sibs but don't remember the films.  It was more of a social experience than about the movie I think.  Kids had so many options for hanging out then, drive-ins, drive-throughs, arcades, record stores....it was a fun time.  I wonder where kids hang out in public these days?  Or is texting more important than actually getting together somewhere?

Not a good idea to watch a film outdoors in Scotland. You won't see the screen for rain (and if it's not raining then the midgies will get you).

Malls and convenient store parking lots. But there's nothing to do at either place.

And yes, texting takes up so much time for kids and young adults ages 12-25, that it doesn't even matter anymore.

I have watched a film outdoors, but not at a Drive-in.

I voted "What the hell is a drive in?" as they are something most of us Brits have only seen in American teenmovies of the 50s & 60s, however they do exist here, albeit as temporary events. Our weather isn't conducive to many such outdoor activities really...

As a kid in the late 70s.  I seem to recall seeing Mary Poppins at a drive-in.  Actually probably saw quite a few things, but I can't remember any specifics.

Yeah, when I was probably 8 or 9.  It was probably some Disney sh*te.

There's still a few active drive-ins around these parts.  Not open now though, cos it's winter.

There are no such places here, so no. I'm fairly certain I've seen a movie outdoors though.
