These guys (2x Animals as Leaders, 1x TMV, 1x Suicidal Tendencies) have finally released their first official offering "Lingua Franca".

Going through my first listening now, really quite nice, you can hear their respective bands in it but that's not to say it sounds especially like any of their preceding output in particular.

Announced on their FB wall: http://www.facebook.com/TRAMband?sk=wall

Edit: quite jazzy.

As early as the year is, it could sit pretty high in my top releases come year end.

Gasp! Something is finally out.

I shall be on the lookout. Thanks for the info.
Dig me...But don't...Bury me
I'm running still, I shall until, one day, I hope that I'll arrive
Warning: Listening to jazz excessively can cause a laxative effect.

Ok I got on their FB page 6-9 months ago waiting for this and didn't get it 2 days ago when it dropped. Shame on me. I'll download it tonight.
You are quite a fine person, and I am very fond of you. But you are only quite a little fellow, in a wide world, after all.

I find this to be better than Animals. The musicianship is more subtle but just as good, and definintely more beautiful in all it's strange ways.

Bought this today at the record store.  Very nice!  Love the woodwinds.

You guys need to listen to AaL's Weightless. Not much different at all (only with more energy) and, overall, a HUGE improvement in songwriting when compared to the debut, which is basically pure and unadultered guitar w**k.

What guys?  I have Weightless.  It is good.  Can't say if this is better, as I've only heard it once, but it is definitely promising!

Just finished my first listen...wow!!! Best instrumental stuff I've heard in a long time. Better than anything in the 2010 crowd of very nice instrumental prog.

If there was any question, Tosin is definitely the most important guitarist on the scene right now.

Much proggier, jazz-fusion-y than AaL, though definitely "related."

When does it go onto P.A.? and in what genre?

Indeed, that's what I suggested them for a few weeks back.

I don't think you can really argue for any other genre after that.

^ Agreed, had only really heard him in Suicidal Tendencies, didn't expect quite so much from him!
