Fool's Overture although I love Brother Where You Bound too. BWYB was an extremely risky move coming just after Hodgson's departure but it paid off in spades for me.

Fool's Overture, but I like all three of these almost equally.

I'll go with Fool Overture but Brother where you bound is a fantastic track thought without Roger Hodson

Going with the mainstream here: Fool's Overture. As others have said, Brother Where You Bound is also a great track which deserve careful listen.

I think that "Brother" is great but anyway I go for "Fool's Overture".

The live version of Fool's from the Paris album is brilliant so I couldn't really vote any other way.

Fool's Overture here, following by (not mentioned here) Child Of Vision - superb (and quite long) track with fantastic Roger's piano playing. Try Again is surely the best track from early Supertramp.

Well, I think the piano-soloing on "Child of Vision" was Rick !

They were better at short songs, let's face it.

Went with "Try Again". It's a bit longer than it needs to be, but the lead guitar in that is choice. Fool's Overture hasn't aged very well for me - I used to love it but it sounds corny to me now. I almost went with "Brother" -- that's a great epic tune.

I don't think so only because there aren't so many long-tracks. They were great in both ways. I really love "Tenth Avenue Breakdown", for another "longer" example. My favourite one is somewhere inbetween and that's Rudy. I regard it an epic. The shorter ones such as "Take the long Way Home" or "Babaji" are just as great, but better ? No, I think that "Fool's Overture" is a real highlight - as it was when I saw Roger & Band perform it last year. It can still blow my mind. It was stupendous.
