Both of these bands play similar styles of new-prog/art-rock. However, Radiohead is a widely known group while Gazpacho gets almost no attention outside of underground circles.

Which band do you prefer? Only vote if you have heard both.

Never thought I'd vote for Radiohead in a poll, but I have to vote the less boring band here.

I don't see the similarity, either, but, anyhow, Gazpacho, one of my favourite modern bands.

Don't really see that much similarity as well. I prefer Gazpacho, though.
Bigger on the inside.

Gazpacho, the similiarity is there but truthfully I think the two do one thing (make texturally oriented music) in very different ways (Gazpacho is much more organic to Radiohead's cold electronic approach).

My vote goes to Gazpacho, although I enjoy both. Radiohead to me is a mood band - if I'm in the mood, they're great. If not, they do absolutely nothing for me. Gazpacho I always enjoy, and I'm in the mood for them more generally anyways.

I've always found the similarity fairly apparent. Not the same, clearly, but both play a "new prog" style of art-rock.

I know the connection - they were both named after someone else's songs. Geek

Anyways, like I said on your link, Radiohead.

Gazpacho write better songs, IMO. I've tried getting into Radiohead multiple times and so far only truly enjoy Kid A, but I'll definitely keep trying. I know I'll like them more someday.

Well, you at least liked their most experimental album. Have you checked Amnesiac? It's like the second part of Kid A.

I did but it felt dry and uninspired to me, which doesn't make much sense considering that they were both written in the same time period (I think, though I could be wrong).
