Sort of.  How much of a shelf life do 28 year old running backs have?  I know that he was a star in NO for awhile but they drafted someone else and shooed him out of town.  The Dolphins seem to be as inept as the Lions in recent years so I honestly have no idea if Reggie Bush has anything left to offer or not.

Whew, I was afraid you actually didn't know of him! I was gunna say man...

Nah I agree. He was kind of a bust in NO though....he went to the Phins and became a "between the tackles" first runner and turned out to be pretty decent and surprisingly tough.
The Saints must be tired of thatLOL

The Lions don't have any run game though, if you didn't spend too much, I'd say he's worth it. Injury is a risk but it seems every back is.

It is a 4-year deal.  I don't know the dollars.  The Lions can't seem to keep their running backs healthy.  Jahvid Best and Michael LeShoure are both recent draft picks at the position.  If I am not mistaken I read somewhere that Jahvid Best's most recent injury is going to cause him to retire, which is why the Lions needed to go out and get somebody else.

Shame is I really liked Kevin Smith.
And LeShoure.

It's tough, even the ones that make full seasons later turn out to have fought through injuries. Only guys like Ray Rice, MJD (nevermind) and Tiki Barber just never got hurt.
Not a bad move in my book, I'd rather want the Lions get more weapons. Though not, because that's a scary thoughtLOL

Quite surprised to see the ravens getting ravaged as they are. That defense will be unrecognizable...esp if Reed winds up on the outs as well. Pollard was a huge surprise. If I was the Pats I'd scoop him up immediately so he'd stop injuring people on my team.

Would love to see the giants actually make a move (other than picking up Ross again...) and go for Knees Pollard. At least there has been no Cruz talk of leaving yet...hopefully the giants will finish that deal soon, as even as a restricted guy, I imagine he could draw interest.

I think it's a good pickup for the Lions, even if he has less years in him than he already spent. At least he was good in fantasy for me last year, so maybe I'm a little softer on him.

But the lions did need backs. Him with ML should be a good 1-2 punch.

Indeed, but Giants seem to keep living and dying by the D Line. I can live with crappy LBs but we need some secondary bad. Hope he really focuses there on the draft. And O line. It's all we really need to be back in contention.

^ Agreed. They did sign Jenkins from the eagles (DT), so I suppose that's one real move. I imagine for the draft it will be LBs and DBs mainly (probably a RB as well).

Also, Welker to the Broncos. That NE culture is one tough mother.

Kenny Phillips to the eagles? This displeases me.

Yeah so much for the D improving when Phillips returns.
Well...he is injury prone. When he's healthy he's probably the most underrated safety in the game.
You don't hear about him but he's great in coverage, maybe not the best hands but he can cover and tackle and just doesn't let things by deep.

Shame is he's never healthy it seemsCry
Ah well, gotta hope now he never really returns to form. Just damn, they better draft well and please no more D linemen for once!

Hopefully they sign Brown to some sort of decent length contract...all I can say is all the more reason to go after knees pollard. TongueBig smile

But yes...it will be the draft again. Idk...I would just like a little more free angency moves. Or at least sign the people on the team that need to be signed and lose everyone to FA. But I suppose I'm not in charge of these things for a reason.

They have a lot of holes to fill, and I think that DLine is one of them this year. The Jenkins signing is nice for you, but he's not the player he was in green bay.

Phillips has been one of my favorite players in the division. I'm skeptical that his knees are okay, but for the one year lottery ticket contract I like the move.

Brown isn't good.

^ Yeah. It is a hilarious situation.

Though, is there any reason why they can't just resign him to a new deal?
