Seriously? I thought with your championing of alt-hip-hop like Death Grips you might be some sort of weirdo hip-hop junkie. But anyway, Busdriver is a particularly bizarre and adventurous rapper from California. Best record is probably Fear Of A Black Tangent.

I dunnno, it seems like everyone's going nuts over Money Store but I'm trying and I'm not getting it. I admire it for the unexpected change in sound, but it's not one I'm really digging so far. I don't like how polished it is. Seems like I'm in the minority though.

never thought I'd see the day he'd give a ten. But from my listens to it I'd say the album's not that far at all from a ten.

mmmm... I've tried a couple of times too, but have been left with a similar sentiment. tho' I've a suspicious feeling this side of 'experimental hip-hop' doesn't really slip into line with my taste. |

The Money Store was in the new releases section at the record store, so I figured I had to buy it, not having heard it. Fingers crossed.

It was at my record store today on vinyl but it was $35 and I figured that was a little crazy so I didn't buy it.

Sorry to be a party pooper but I don't like Death Grips (of the tracks I've heard). I've not heard anything from the new album though.
I'm sorry but rapping about drugs and swearing all the time doesn't appeal to me. Most Hip-hop does that. I'm fed up of it. |

These are the two songs that really stand out in this album for me, even though I think that every song kinda stands out in its own way.
I believe f**k That was Fantano's least favorite song in that album, can't understand why though!! Also I would like to add that Death Grips shouldn't be compared to Dälek AT ALL. Death Grips are more of a group, I just think that if groups like Battles or Hella are in here, they should get a chance at being on the site. Edited by Grimfurg - April 24 2012 at 16:49 |

IT GOES IT GOES IT GOES.
I'm not to big on Hip Hop or Rap, but Death Grips has always been a band I've admired. Zach Hill is one of my favourite drummers of all time - such a unique style - he's such a great backbone for band to let loose on. The Money Store is by far my favourite.Kudos, /mu/. |
