An easy choice for me, Brainstorm's excellent second album Second Smile. The band is one of the great under-rated jazz rock bands to come out of the seventies, and one of my very fave groups of all time. All of their releases are exemplary.

I've only heard Brainstorm's début, let's just say that the cover caught my eye.  But I'm enjoying this vid now:

I only have Stanley Clarke's debut, which I got cause I liked the quite  Zeuhlish title track considerably.  How does the self-titled compare to Children of Forever?

Not familiar enough with these albums to vote.  I love lots of Miles Davis, of course, but don't have that one.

^Clarke's self-titled is much different, it's like Return to Forever (73-75 era) with focus on the bass. I think that Children of Forever is, at least, a more interesting affair, even if it's not perfect.

I'm a huge Brand X fan, but Moroccan Roll didn't do much for me.  Shabazz has some great playing on it, but a lot of the songs sound a little rushed.  Live Evil, not one of my favorite Miles' recordings.  Have to give it to Bruford since I can remember just loving this album when it came out - especially Holdsworth's fiery guitarwork and the discovery of Jeff Berlin's bass playing.

I enjoyed your thoughts
I would place Caravan's live album second after Brainstorm but i'm not sure who i'd give third place to.

The first 2 Clarke albums were great.  While Schooldays has moments, mostly due to the playing of David Sancious, overall it was a weaker release.

Brand X. This and their debut are both brilliant.

Bruford on 2nd. Excellent album. Btw the correct title is "Feels Good To Me". (...or maybe I missed a joke..?)
