I searched for an appreciation thread and got the response "no soup for you". So here one is. A thread for us to talk about all things Gazpacho. I am listening to March of Ghosts for the first time and so far so good. They are quickly becoming one of my favorite modern bands. What say you?

March of Ghosts is next on my purchase list. I regard Night & Missa Atropas as being amongst the finest modern prog releases from anywhere in the world.
Although there is a clear, and understandable, modern Marillion influence (which attracted me in the first place), they use that influence in a clever and sophisticated manner in order to create something utterly unique.

I love Night and Tick Tock, have both the live albums (both are definitely enjoyable although I think London just a bit more so). Missa Atropos did not do as much for me as Night or Tick Tock, so I went into my first listen of March of Ghosts today with a bit of fear it too might disappoint - but first impression was that it was of higher quality.

I've heard Night, Tick Tock, March of Ghosts, and some of their songs from their earlier albums I think they're all fantastic. Definitely one of the modern prog bands whom I always look forward to new releases from.

Bravo and Firebird are also quite good and Night is the only progressive rock album the Mrs. likes, maybe more so than Yanni.

Missa Atropas is one of the better prog cds that I have heard in the last few years, sort of an H era Marillion mixed with Hello Computer era Radiohead. Tick TOck is good, but no where near as good as Missa Atropas, to my ears. March Of Ghosts and London are next on my list to purchase from the band.

So did anyone see them a week and a half ago in London? Because I did  ... And I now have a signed Night CD (smug look).
It was a bit sad that I must have been the youngest person there though....

It's a good track from a good debut album (Bravo), and showed massive promise which I think has been more than fulfilled.

Re-listened to Night earlier and was, once again, very impressed. I've written a review of it but in brief I'm really impressed with the way they use those recurring rhythms in the album to tie the whole thing together.

I"d never heard of Gazpacho before joining this forum. Just downloaded Night yesterday and while it didn't blow me away on the first listen, I get the impression it's one of those recordings that grows on you over time.
