^ Chicago 1543 plays = Borders on the obscene and may be offensive to some people.
And all the stars were crashing 'round as I laid eyes on what I found...

I think I do more than some. A ton of women I've known want to be the center of focus in a significant other's life. Maybe men are mostly similar, but that kind of attention I'm not ready to devote to a single person. Or maybe this is normal and I'm just comfortable being detached than others.

Lucky you: I'm not even sure to understand myself.
Excuse me, sir, do you have a moment to talk about our lord and savior, Neptune, god of the Sea?

I've had some pretty strange experiences with women. Once I traveled the road with a band that featured 3 women as the frontline. I played daddy for the longest time when we stayed at Holiday Inns. I brought them food, listened to their problems, and kept the guy groupies away from them. One was bisexual, another was confused about her sexuality, and the 3rd was a little sleezy. They always clinged to me. They still call the house monthly. Almost 30 years later and they still call to talk. My wife understands the connection between the 4 of us being on the road for years and indulging in music talk, but I believe strongly it has to do with something else....like a relationship or love itself. Although my wife had played in many bands with me and is understanding of the relationship between the 4 of us, I for one would not care to be on the other side of the fence. I have been nothing but a brother to the 3 of them, yet you can read between the lines and understand that if I was not married, it would cross the border in a hot minute. I have always tried to avoid women the majority of the time and it's the wrong move to make because then they have reason to chase after you. ? I've tried to pretend I was insane (which isn't hard), or gross them out and it does not work. They still come across with passion and signals that indicate more than friendship. Friendship is where it all starts...but I still honestly don't get it! Someone care to help me too?

They often don't understand it either. It's not cognitive or conscious most of the time.

Women get away with blurring the lines more easily than men. It's just the way it is.

One of the most rewarding relationships I ever had with a woman was never sexual in any way other than I had a huge crush on her and everyone knew it. She sang lead in the band and I was the lead guitarist. We were very good friends even though we were very different types of people and I certainly wasn't her type in terms of a romanitic relationship. But I think that actually added some energy to our musical performances and I will go to my grave remembering that very fondly.

Frankly, if anything had actually happened, I don't think it would have been as sweet.
Current Listening:

Heater valve kicking on.
Snotty noses being blown.
Griping.
Maybe cookies coming out of the oven???

C is for cookie, and it is good enough for me.

Yeah, when I'm on LSD, I can have conversations with myself and I can understand myself AT LAST, and I also can see my inner self, muscles and skeletons included, I can also talk with the Cerebrus, the Man In Black from Zone 51 and I see the Cosmic Sofa and all the gates are open and I go and I go and I go and I go and I go and I go and I go and I go and I go and I go and I go and I go and I go and I go and I go and I go and I go and I go and I go and I go and I go and I go and I go and I go and I go and I go and I go and I go and I go and I go and I go and I go and I go and I go and I go and I go and I go and I go and I go and I go and I go and I go and I go and I go and I go and I go and I go and I go and I go and I go and I go and I go and I go and I go and I go and I go and I go and I go and I go and I go and I go and I go and I go and I go and I go and I go and I go and I go and I go and I go and I go and I go

Ok i may be completely off the track here but i do not think women are that hard to understand. From what i see and hear, they tell us all time how they feel and what their desires are, not always with words of course : One guy have to be attentive and be able to read between the lines.
The problem is, and i speak only for myself here, i'm sometimes unreceptive or just don't wan't to play the game. The reason why i'm single right now where i can act like the Neanderthal i truly am.
And all the stars were crashing 'round as I laid eyes on what I found...

I don't understand anyone.  But then no one understands me either, so it's a wash.
