Hi all :)
'Die Cast' is basically a bedroom-project (I'd like to say studio-project but that would be bluff Tongue) between 2 brothers from Malta (Europe). We draw many of our influences from the classics, ie: Dream Theater, Porcupine Tree, Jehtro Tull, Rush, Yes etc etc... but we also like other not-so-proggy artists such as RHCP and John Frusciante, Victor Wooten, Billy Sheehan, Micheal Hedges and even funkier stuff.

After 4 years of alternating between active and non-active periods, endless line-up changes and writing material purely for the rush we get out of it, we settled as 2 brothers with a non-rigid aim: that of trying to combine aspects from the well-planned deep themes present in rock and metal music and the un-structured spontaneity characteristic of funk and more relaxed styles.

Although none of these ideals have been realised in our demo album 'Not Yet' (linked below), which many of you may find rather riff-oriented and non progressive, we currently have some concepts in the writing which we think might apply to a number of listeners in the future, so stay tuned Wink
