Not included in the poll are tracks with more than one word.
Art Zoyd "Migrations" Camel :"Migration" (apparently a cover, but I barely hear hear his playing over the original track) The Residents "Migration" Steve Morse "Migration" Richard Vimal "Migration" from the 1978 LP Migrations (not in PA) |

All very good. Just swap Camel with Art Zoyd and the order is the same as in the page. (Being a "Zarter" I should vote Art Zoyd but I love Camel too much)

I like all of these. Art Zoyd's "Migrations" is one of my favourite tracks by one of my favourite bands off one of my most played Art Zoyd albums (and I have most of AZ's albums).
The Residents Mark of the Mole is one of my favourite Residents albums (not that I have many by The Residents -- Eskimo is my favourite). Good track for me off a very good album for my tastes, but again works better in the context of the album (which can be said for most tracks). I like Camel's early period considerably, and The Snow Goose is my favourite Camel studio album (my favourite Camel album is A Live Record which has a great version of Snow Goose). I like Camel's "Migration" a lot, and though it is still good as a stand-alone track , it works much better in the greater context of the album (still, a very neat one off the album). Richard Vimal is an interesting one that I've thought about suggesting for PA before, but I find him rather too commercial to be an easy fit. I used to listen to a lot of music like what's he's done. I like his first album more than Migrations, and do find his "Migration" quite cheesy. This of his I like much more: As for Steve Morse, that I had not heard until I did this poll, and I have nothing by the Steve Morse Band. It's a nice instrumental. |

Yep I think I am going with Art Zoyd here, though that Vimal track sounds pretty cool - not unlike Camel come to think of it...
The Residents one is also pretty funny, but it is not one of my faves of theirs. Only on occasion do I enjoy "Mole".

So glad that you and others like it. I love Migrations. Despite Camels Migration itself only being a short piece of a longer thing, I thought the humpedback Camel-toed one might be seriously humping Art Zoyd in the analysis. I do like both very much, but really love Migrations. Edited by Logan - April 16 2012 at 15:17 |
