MIA is one of my favourite bands included in the Symphonic Prog category , and would make a pretty worthy competitor for Bubu at the end (though Bubu would get my vote --without knowing the ratings, I expect Bubu may face off against Bacamarte at the end, but I digress).  I'm enjoying the Jaen Kief vids (don't have any albums by JK) enough that I'm going to dig deeper before casting my vote, but I expect that MIA will get my vote.

Don't know, really. I wish there were some complete songs from Jaen Kief available so I could listen to something more complete from them.

Hey, may I suggest choosing at least one of the bigger/more accepted bands next? Something more people would more easily come to like, before they get tired of checking this threads out.

I don't think that's the problem. MIA may not be a candidate to win this, but there aren't too many bigger/more accepted bands than them. The problem is that the people participating and posting here are always the same (you, memowakeman, Logan, sagichim, octopus-4, Mellotron Storm, Man With Hat, The Bearded Man and some few more). It's frustrating, but it's true. Nevertheless I'll go on with this. At least until the total lack of interest is completely noticeable.

You might just as well try including some Bubu, Los Jaivas, Bacamarte next. It might be a little difficult, but it may just as well help a bit to get attention. I would really like to see this tournament through, so that I may just as well find some other band to track down. There are some songs I have found that I like as much as any of the British prog songs, and the album "Originallis", from Cast, for me is as good as the top british albums. Bacamarte's album of course is great too, being within the top 20 from Progarchives list (at least last time I checked).

Mia is great, I forgot all about them and haven't listened to them in a few years now, and that's why this tournament is great, reminding you bands you forgot or introducing you to new ones, I already discovered Climax which is an excellent addition to my collection. But I am missing one band out La Maquina The Hacer pajaros, they are a classic candidate here.

Perhaps, but what's the point of including Bubu, Los Jaivas and Bacamarte all together now?. What about after they appear?. The main purpose of this was to expose people to some great bands they probably didn't know. If I wanted to make this tournament just with the so called "Big ones" from Latin America, I would have made it with those 3 you mentioned and a couple more, instead of 128 bands.

Eventually La Maquina will appear, but you will have to wait. Remember this is just Leg 1. I have every match already organised. They are scheduled for leg 4.

Of course, I totally agree with you. Only, you may have put one of this bands early on.
