Fiona Apple's new release is titled The Idler Wheel Is Wiser Than The Driver Of The Screw, And The Whipping Cord Will Serve You More Than Ropes Will Ever Do.
Actually looking forward to this. In 16 years this will only be her fourth album- she takes her time and doesn't release rubbish. Please feel free to make this a general Fiona Apple appreciation thread if the fancy takes you. Fun Fact: Her real name is Fiona Maggart. I wonder why she changed it.

I didn't know she is planning something new. Sweet. Thanks for the heads-up.

The best title was previously held by REO Speedwagon's "You Can Tune a Piano, but You Can't Tuna Fish"

Yeah, first record in seven years. (Mind you there was a 6 year wait between her second and third.) It's still hard to believe she was only 19 when she made Tidal.

Catfood: That's not even REO Speedwagon's best title. That's definitely The Earth, A Small Man, His Dog And A Chicken.

Mind you Manic Street Preacher's (possiby shelved) Seventeen Songs Of Hatred And Failure would've been hard to top. There's also the working title for the Beastie Boys' debut which was Don't Be A fa****, but Russell Simmons said no.

I have always really liked the title of Colosseum 2's "Electric Savage"
And also Budgie's "If I Were Britannia, I'd Waive The Rules" |

Speaking of REO Speedwagon, it was a little humorous and prophetic that after releasing their compilation 'Only the Strong Survive' they managed only one more studio album, and that one was self-financed....

Yo La Tengo's "I Am Not Afraid of You and I Will Beat Your Ass" is a nice title coming from a quiet, meek trio like that.
