Starless for me - but sooooo hard to choose!

In the Court.

Considered voting for Easy Money, but Mellotron isn't the main instrument in that one, I feel, so it wouldn't be right for me vote for it in this poll.

Yeah, sometimes it feels like that when there are many votes already, and the results can't be changed anyway. However, if everybody thought that, there would be no polls at all... or at least no fun in polls.

It's not just the number of votes; it's just that there are so many strong contestants that it doesn't seem to matter now what you are gonna vote for ... pff.

Not fair, now you include Wetton era songs...
however, I am between Epitaph and Starless, but since Epitaph has much less votes and I feel Mellotron is more important for it, I go with it. For me, the most important instrument on Starless is the violin. Still, I guess the next poll of this King Crimson series will be violining King Crimson (some people may read violating King Crimson, I guess), and surely enough you won't include Starless on it (since you are not including live versions). Perhaps you could include a poll about pianoing King Crimson, with those songs with the most prominent Keith Tippet playing... he shouldn't be forgotten, even if he never was an official member of the band.

I was expecting this to be a horse race between ITKOTCK and Starless.  That debut with it's massive mellotron must have simply blown people away in it's day.  Still, Starless is one of my desert island songs, so I have to go with it.
