First of all, I'm limiting my choices to prog musicians or I'd probably just go with jazz musicians.

Bass - Tony Levin, Trey Gunn, John Wetton, Chris Squire, Ray Shulman
Drums - Bill Bruford, Gavin Harrison, Pat Mastelotto, Danny Cary, Billy Cobham
Keys - Jan Hammer, Keith Emerson, Tony Banks, Eddie Jobson, Chick Corea

Do you mean top 5 favorite musicians (probably because of the composition and playing approach) or top 5 people with excellent musicianship?
