Love the original, but I don't see the point. I at least understand the concept of TAAB2, not sure what this one could even be about.

I really loved TAAB2, except for the name. I would not want a sequel, although a new Tull album would be fantastic. A Passion Play doesn't need a sequel in the same way TAAB didn't.

A qualified NO. Unless Ian can get off the ego train and invite Barriemore Barlow, Martin Barre and John Evan back, then it really wouldn't interest me. And what would be the premise? They've already explored the afterlife, What next, the undead? Zombie Tull! Dead

APP is my favourite JT album (5 stars). I considered it to be a masterpiece but I don't think that it would be necessary to make a sequel. But it would be nice to listen to something with the same feeling. BTW I really like TAAB2 but in no way it can be compared to the original. I would gladly buy it if Ian Anderson was making a sequel, as I did with TAAB.

Not really, given that TAAB2 was so mediocre.  Maybe if it were a real Tull album with Martin and some of the old gang, then maybe.

Concept wise I don't see how you could make a follow up to the superb A Passion Play.

Regarding TAAB 2, a lot better than I thought it would be.

I'd say yes. Thick as a Brick 2 is as good as the better JT albums. Ian Anderson has proved that he has not lost the ability to write clever prog songs. Maybe this time he would create a sequel that is even better than the original. It should not be too difficult, given the fact that A Passion Play is a 3 star album in my book.

I always felt that APP was mediocre-to-fine. No sense returning to that point. Those are some really wet drawers the second time around.

I haven't heard TAAB2. I'm frightened of it. Out of every single Tull album released after 1979, I only listen to Christmas album, and even that is a rarity.

While I can appreciate the novelty aspect of looking at Gerald Bostock's life 30 years later, I hope this doesn't start a trend of bands recording sequels to albums they recorded back in their musical heyday.  What next, Close to the Edge Pt. II?

I kind of wish that he wouldn't have toyed with TAAB and tarnish its status as "ultimate" chef d'oeuvre

But as far as APP  is concerneed, he makers a sung reference about it, some of the monologues are very reminiscent of the The Hare interlude.... And Anderson also refers to aqualung by mentioning Locomotive Breath.

Definitely never a good idea to do sequels...
