Just returned from the concert. It was amazing, fantastic! My first Anathema show.
I arrived like 1 hour before the gate opening and there was really NOBODY there. Like 5 guys or so. Totally empty. So I stayed there and waited. 5 minutes later Danny appears and gives some autographs. He was very nice. I took 2 pictures with him. He stayed there talking with the guys at the bar and drinking beer. The venue was very small, limited to 350 people or so. I was the first person to enter and ran directly to the stage. Got the first row, right in the middle. The opening band was Amplifier, a Psychedelic / Space-Rock prog band. I had already heard of them, but never listened to their album. They are really good. They use a lot of distortion. Finally came Anathema. Here was the setlist: 1- Untouchable Part 1 2- Untouchable Part 2 3- Lightning Song 4- Thin Air 5- Dreaming Light 6- Deep 7- Emotional Winter 8- Wings of God 9- A Simple Mistake 10- The Storm Before the Calm 11- The Beginning and the End 12- Universal 13- Panic 14- The Lost Child 15- Internal Landscapes Encore: 16- Closer 17- A Natural Disaster 18- Empty 19- Flying 20- Fragile Dreams Note: "Empty" and "Flying" were played by requests. Yes, I saw the setlist paper and there were only 17 songs, so it was supposed to be only "Closer", "A Natural Disaster" and "Fragile Dreams" as encore songs. It is very rare for bands to accept requests. And two? God! They played all the songs flawlessly and interacted a lot with the public. They were also very thankful to the public (they even said that this was the best crowd from the tour yet). In the end they said "we will be at the bar afterwards if you want to meet us". Very nice. I had no time to stay, otherwise I would have chatted with them. Amazing concert, every cent was worth.

Sounds wonderful. Did they have any "orchestration", or did they do without?
