I'm "only" 35 years old, so I'm too young to have witnessed the great ones, at least in their primes, and Frank Zappa passed away before I had discovered him. I'm still quite happy with who I've managed to see live though:

Pink Floyd - Division Bell tour. My first proper concert when I was 17 years old.
Jethro Tull - twice
King Crimson - Power to Believe tour
Focus
Edgar Broughton Band
Opeth - twice, seeing them again this summer
Cynic
Anekdoten - Walked past my local record shop a few years ago with no intention of going inside. Glanced at the window while passing by and noticed a poster. "Holy jeebus, Anekdoten is playing tonight!!" Bought the ticket right on the spot...
Gong with Steve Hillage Band supporting
Porcupine Tree - Incident Tour. I'm not thrilled about their output from In Absentia onwards, so on the one hand I was happy to have finally gotten to see them but at the same time disappointed that they only played 3 pre-In Absentia songs.
Rush - last year in Dublin

Mastodon - seeing them again this summer
Meshuggah
Enslaved - half a dozen times or so, they're from my home town.

I've also seen Muse which I didn't really like (way too pretentious for my tastes).

Seeing Steven Wilson, Grace for Drowning tour, tomorrow and Marillion later this summer. I would really like to see Mars Volta as well.

I started listening to prog too late to get even the last concerts from most of my favourite bands. Hope some of them still tour again. I love Pink Floyd, but have only managed to see Roger Waters (3 times, includin The Wall and Dark Side of the Moon, fantastic concerts). I also love Yes, but only managed to see them with Benoit David... hope at least I get to see them with John Davison too... as long as they come to Mexico. However, I managed to see Rick Wakeman playing 6 Wives at Hampton Court Palace, with orchestra and all... really one of my most treasured concerts... love his music, love that album, loved the performance. I also have come to love Dream Theater, and have seen them twice already. I have come to love Genesis, King Crimson, Jethro Tull, etc (the big names, of course), but not in time to see them... though some of them may still tour again.

Saw Enslaved too, same tour as Alcest actually. They were very good.

^ Hey, how was the show of Alcest? He's supposed to play all instruments in his albums except for drums. I guess he chooses a band to play with him in his concerts...

Of my top three bands i've seen RUSH twice, PORCUPINE TREE four times and ANEKDOTEN not once. I hope to remedy the latter as they're supposed to play at Farfest in October and i do have tickets.

Most of the concerts i went to in my late teens and early twenties(late seventies to early eighties) were bands who aren't on here like AC/DC, IRON MAIDEN(oops they're here), VAN HALEN, AEROSMITH(late seventies) ,PINK FLOYD, DEF LEPPARD, QUEENSRYCHE, okay a few are on here.

When i saw Steven Wilson's solo tour last year it reminded me that i really haven't seen any band that used a lot of horns. Watching Theo travis was cool and i wished i could have seen bands like NUCLEUS, SOFT MACHINE, Miles and so on. Zappa would have been awesome too.

I did see Pink Floyd too. Wembley Stadium. Momentary Lapse tour. It was brilliant and my wife fainted.

I caught Shakti when they toured different locations in the country earlier this year. It was an out of the world concert. Most of my favourite PROG artists are from the 70s and they either don't play live anymore or even if they do, are not likely to come this side. I love Radiohead to pieces but don't think it is very likely they will ever come to India.

Of the bands I like the most the only one I never saw is Kansas. Many of the others were not in their prime anymore (born in 66) but I'm glad I saw them anyway. The epoch when I attendent most concerts was the late 80's and the 90's.

I too was at the original Wall series of concerts at Earls Court. I went on the Monday night (4th August).

I remember being distinctly underwhelmed by the whole thing to be honest but it's something to tell the grand-children at least Wink

I've been fortunate enough to have seen all my favorites, except Nektar, KC and Steve Hackett, live at least once and in many cases multiple times. A breakdown:

Yes-every tour from Relayer through Tormato and then again when they did "The Longs" and 35th Anniversary.

Jethro Tull-too many times to count. Used to see them in Rochester NY while in college and then see the same tour again when I got home to NYC. Also, saw Ian Anderson solo.

Genesis-6 or 7 time from And then There Where Three through Invisible Touch

Gentle Giant-1977 and again on their final tour.

Peter Gabriel 3 or 4 times

ELP on the Works tour and when they toured with Tull some years later.

Rush many times from A Farewell to Kings through Snakes and Arrows

Dixie Dregs-twice

Pink Floyd-The Wall at Nassau coliseum-stood outside the arena for 8 hours and got tickets 5 minutes before the show started, again on the Momentary Lapse tour.

David Gilmour solo after About Face was released.

Talking Heads twice.

Tool on the 10,000 Days tour.

Just love live shows. Hope to see some more before I go!

I saw the best concert I've ever been to so far last summer. Rush!!!
But my favorite is slowly turning to Opeth. Who I will be seeing tomorrow. :P
