Let's just hope that it won't be delayed seeing that RoadRunner Records has seized to exist.

Well, they've already finished up their 3-album contract with Roadrunner (Systematic Chaos, Black Clouds & Silver Linings, and A Dramatic Turn of Events), so they probably won't be affected by it.

Let's speculate on the title.

I'm going with A Surfeit Of Dairy Products.

^Makes sense. They used to talk about alcoholism a lot in previous ones so switching to dairy would make a lot of sense, especially as they age.

I just hope when they release it and do the tour they don't ignore my sorry state (FL) like they are doing in their current tour.

That's what happens when the big boys acquire you, writing on the wall when Warner bought a majority stake in RRR......Certainly do not need the large staff, when most of the RRR artists are traded with online downloads.

I'm sure it will all be fine for the artists. Rush probably being the largest $$ generator eventually, I doubt Warner will do anything dumb.......More advertising dollars now for sure.

I really hope we see Mangini taking a more important role now.

My guess is he'll stay on drums.

Yeah, but hopefully he'll do some song writing... or at least he'll write / choose the drum parts, instead of having Petrucci telling him exactly what and how to play it. Of course, this happened so in the last album, because it was written before there was any drummer chosen for the band, and there is no need for this to happen again.

^I honestly don't expect much difference. Unless he is a well known great songwriter and I wasn't aware of it. Time will tell I guess but I won't rush to buy it after the last effort.

Actually, Mike was chosen in November 2010 and they began the sessions (including the writing) in January 2011. They probably wrote without Mike because they had just recruited the guy and weren't yet familiar with him. If you want to crank out 80 minutes of music in a few months, you don't really have time to get used to writing with the new guy.

Plus, Mangini expressed relief that he did not have to participate in the writing sessions because he stated that he had enough work to do for the upcoming tour (learning older DT songs, preparing his drum set, etc...)

Apparently, all 5 members have been contributing ideas during sound-checks before gigs, so I feel like the next album is going to have some interesting ideas and maybe see the band move in a new direction.

I sure hope so, this last album of theirs is "Dramatic"ally atrocious.

C'mon, it's not that bad. I can understand if it's not as good as you would have liked, but it's not "atrocious".

I thought the latest album was fantastic. A great return to form. Can't wait for the next one.
