Pick your favorite. I know it seems Bacamarte will win this hands down, but wait until you listen to kRé's samples. I'm surely have my own doubts in deciding where my vote will go.

kRé for me.  I used to like Bacamarte very much, but rather lost interest in it.

I actually prefer KRE's debut to the BACAMARTE album. It's more challenging and darker. They're listed under Jazz/Fusion but there is a Psychedelic flavour to their music. If you stop the poll now they will win.LOL

By the way Greg Walker describes KRE as being influenced by ANEKDOTEN and KING CRIMSON. No wonder i like them so much.

Bacamarte, easily. Ultimo Entardecer is just gorgeous. kRé is interesting, but not really my cup of tea.

I've decided to go with Bacamarte. It's a pity. kRé are great too.

Now I would have thought that this poll with Bacamarte would have had better apreciation than the previous ones... still some time to receive more comments on the thread... I hope. The last thread had a bit of an improvement on participation, it seemed to me.

None of the samples did anything for me, so i dug around a bit and found some more stuff from these bands:

Bacamarte - Depois Do Fim (full album/playlist):

KRé - MySpace:

After getting some more meet on the bone, listening through Depois Do Fim and the samples on KRé's MySpace page, I decided to vote for Bacamarte, which was more exciting IMO. KRé I found a bit boring to be honest.

WC commonly refers to a water closet.

^Yes, but here it should be fairly clear it refers to World Cup, so what's your point?

^^ That's quite enough potty talk. ;)

Just a bit of toilet humour I expect. Wink  And you know, it's kind of appropriate both ways since the plops, erm I mean flops, in this WC get flushed... out of the competition.

By the way, did you know that prog also means to forage and beg for food?

^I did not know that.

And I understood he was making a joke, just didn't find it very funny. I get enough toilett humor in the kindergarden (where I workWink).

Yeah, I've done the kindergarten teaching thing and had some very funny toilet humour moments, but I'm one of those down-in-the-sewer who who can always appreciate a potty joke.

I actually think that Vomps was being quite serious in his question (even if he finds some humour in it).  When I see WC I immediately think water closet, but of course we have people from all over the world (I did consider making a joke about it before, but I know that my humour is not always liked around here. I like to use double-meanings, crude or not.

If I wrote the Latin American T&A Poll -- meaning Travel and Accommodation in Latin America, I might expect some titters from asses who would point out its bodily meaning -- not tonsils and adenoids.  My son had a T&A -- Tonsillectomy and Adenoidectomy,

Getting back on topic: this is much closer than I expected.  In terms of the posts that indicate a preference, the first three were for kRé and the next three for Bacamarte (plus a couple of silent, but probably deadly to Kre, voters for Bacamarte).  Those silent ones are often deadliest, or so I have heard not -- being silent and all....  I did think there would have been a lot more posts and votes for in this poll by now.

I can appreciate a good fart joke as well as the next guy, if it's well executed. Yours aren't half bad.

Yeah, we can use the words water closet, or WC, here where I live too, but we almost never do, so I don't think of a toilet when I read WC. Incidentally, WC is one of the first words we learn at school here in Norway, to represent a word which starts with the letter W.

And yeah, it's a shame there are so few voters in these polls, and that they're getting fewer and fewer by each poll.

I've just read all the water closet comments, lol. Didn't know that. But this also made me realise that it isn't right to name this competition a World Cup, since it's centered only on Latin American bands. I'll change the title for the next match.
