I can't say that I agree with making Six Degrees all one track.

I haven't heard many things worse than the title track.

Why? It's one song.

The song is the longest that Dream Theater has recorded. In order to ease the scrolling through the song, Mike Portnoy decided to split it into eight different parts, each with their own distinctive styles.

It's like "The Whirlwind" in the sense that it can be listened to both as one song or as a suite of individual songs.

For the purposes of this poll, I think the latter option makes more sense. As it is, you're putting an entire disc of music on an equal playing field with far shorter songs.

I would have voted for a section of the second disc rather quickly.

No, I wouldn't have put it in one sole song. It doesn't feel like one sole song, it feels like a bunch of songs, and not all of them even closely related enough as for mistaking it for one song (just as I insist "Fly from Here" from Yes isn't one sole epic song). However, it makes it much easier for me to vote for all of that disc in one click. And with luck, it will be the first to go, if the rate of voting remains the same. I was afraid when we reached this survivor series I would be frustrated once again, because I usually believed that the love for this album was mainly because of the title "song" or "disc" or whatever, while I have always found it rather tedious and never really liked it so much, except for a few parts. On the other hand, the first disc of this double album is my very favourite disc released by Dream Theater... the only I can ejnoy fully from beginning to end, and if that sole disc had been one album, it would easily be my favourite DT album.

Ditto, Dellinger.  I've said it before, but it won't hurt to say it again.  SDOIT the song is simply "prog by the numbers".  Disc 1 is far superior on all counts.

Hey, in the case of a tie, weren't the two songs supposed to be eliminated at once? you did that with some other polls.

The poll was almost over, and the tie was broken with a vote for Disappear. Horizons tied it up again, but it was too late as I already posted round 2.
