"The 3-disc package features 2 audio CDs, which cover RTF's full set, from "Medieval Overture" to "School Days" and "Beyond the Seventh Galaxy." The DVD weaves recent interview footage with pianist Chick Corea, bassist Stanley Clarke, drummer Lenny White, violinist Jean-Luc Ponty and guitarist Frank Gambale with live concert footage, all filmed in September 2011. It is packed with almost 2 hours of footage, including the new documentary "Return to Forever: Inside the Music," in which the band tells the stories behind classic tunes like "After the Cosmic Rain," "Sorceress" and "Spain. Also included on the DVD are full live performances of "After The Cosmic Rain" and "The Romantic Warrior" and an extended trailer for the upcoming film "The Return To Forever Story".

Hi,

Definitly getting this ... it is the same lineup that was in Eugene and made Zappa Plays Zappa look and sound like a poor garage band!
Music is not just for listening ... it is for LIVING ... you got to feel it to know what's it about! Not being told!

I like ZPZ and can appreciate what Dweezil is doing ... but on that night, ... Frank Zappa would have fired them all from the band! Specially knowing that they were playing against folks that are known for their togetherness and musicianship! ... so you waste the opportunity and play like a rock star and an idiot?

Sorry ... it was very disappointing to say the least, and an embarassment all around. Comparing that night to the DVD is ... not even close ... not even close!

You only get so many opportunities in life to shine and show people ... that you deserve the commotion and the credit and the applause ... and on that night ... sorry ... they needed to make it way better than they were. And they started slow, like they needed to warm up ... !!!!! And RTF's material was never on my collection, although I was aware and knew many of their pieces ... (still isn't in my collection! But now, that will have to be remedied!
