Norwegian swimmer, Alexander Dale Oen, has passed away 26 years old during a training camp in the US. He was a world-class athlete and a better person. An Olympic silver medalist in 100m breaststroke in 2008, he became World Champion on the same distance only three days after the Oslo bombing and Utøya Island massacre on July 22nd.
Today Norway mourns one of its best athletes of all time who was taken away from us far too early. |

 A legeend, i had no idea, such a sweet man ,and idol the way he shed tears during EC druing swimming competition is something i will always remember, Norways first gold medalist in swimming, dies to yong, our biggest gold medal hope in London, conolances to family, friends, and to those close to him |

^Something with his heart. He collapsed and was found by his team mates in a bathroom at his hotel in Arizona where he was at a trainingcamp preparing for London 2012. Just heard the news myself. Very sad. And he was so young! RIP Alexander Dale Oen.
